exactly. Same with Hearns and Hagler. Tommy wanted the rematch, and I think he would have done well, but he blew it the first time, same with Hagler with Ray. Marquez got 4 chances with Pacman, which is rare.

 

Lets be honest it's not in Leonard's mental make-up to give anyone he considers a dangerous opponent a rematch is it . Hagler/Hearns were never going to get rematches while leonard considered that they might reverse the results of their first meetings with leonard

Hagler didn't want to fight Hearns again. I don't think he was scared as much as he knew he put his all out in the first fight, and he would have to fight a slower and maybe get the fight everyone thought he would get the first time when they both brawled. Slowed down Hearns could swell up Hagler very fast.
