Great fight this really looking forward to it. Vassell is a beast but Gavin has skills, I don't know who will win but I hope Gavin does.

This is definately Gavin's fight to show us what he's got and whether he's going to go on to bigger and better things on the European and world stage.

If he can win and look good doing it then he's on the way although nothing he's done as a pro so far tell's me he's going to do that.

Yeah Vassell looks like a monster to me but I wouldn't write Gavin off, he has the better skillsand if he works hard he can win this but will he work hard?

I guess that's always been the question with Gavin, if he's not at his best for Vassell he loses, it's that simple.

A win over Vassell and he'll move into the Top 5 of the WBO rankings and then if he can win a European title by the end of the year he'll be in line for a World title shot in 2014 so it's really up to him now.

Bit ungrateful from young Frankie given what Big Franks put up with.
Its a two way street Frankie, and the fact he won with a **** bid should give you food for thought.

That's the problem with Frankie, comes across as a bit of a boxing diva which is all good and well if you're a "must see" boxer but 2007 was a while ago now and he's hardly set the world alight with his ring performances so far as a Pro.

Or just don't agree with him. That doesn't make them haters. I've never seen a raft of anti-Hearn threads the same as I do for Frank or Mick in the past.

Exactly!! He's done nothing since. Hell, he's more known for not making the Olympics than winning that world amateur tournament. Which, like you said, is nearly 7 years ago.

Right, well, he's hardly getting slammed fiercely. There's a just a group of people who don't think he's changing boxing the way some others do.

Surely even you can see that his start to 2013 on Sky has been pretty mediocre. When your major selling point is that you're not as **** as the competition, this business is in bad shape!

He doesn't get slammed fiercly because he has never done anything that bad. Theres no Hean fighter that has consistanly faced poor opponents, no canceled shows, no fighters inactive, no fighters not getting TV time that should, no fighters being promoted badly. Thats what Frank & Mick get slated for.

I have basically said that many times in the past month and havr never claimed him to be the saviour of boxing, I doubt you can find anyone that said that ad were being serious.

I like the way Hearn works as a promoter.

I slate Hearn all the time but he's still the best and most progressive promoter we have in Britain. I can't understand why Frank left sky to set up boxnation. Boxnation is brilliant for international fights but for British fighters and British promoters wanting to put on big shows its not a good thing. Surely Frank can't be making as much money through boxnation subscriptions as he was with his sky contract.
