I wish they'd have asked him about a potential fight with Kell Brook. To be fair though, everyone watching who's not a boxing fan would think Piers is asking him about fighting the bird off Celebrity Juice with the big knockers. :huh
Glad they didn't. Had enough of the ''i can sell more tickets then him nah nah na nah nah'' crap. It's Gabriel Clark interviewing him :good.
Was just checking the comments on his name on Twitter. 70% of the comments coming in are continuously on how they actually think Amir is a nice guy and this changes their mind about him. It just goes to show how horribly perceived he's always been and will continue to be. Jealousy and unjustified hatred is always going to be there, unfortunately. Hopefully this stuff should help though.
Ive watched it a few times and seen alot of interviews with him where i think he seems a decent bloke just trying to provide for his family. But he always throws a spanner in the works where he says something stupid which makes me think is he a decent bloke? i think he thinks he has to say things to play the game of boxing at the top level when he really doesnt. am i an amir fan no but do i watch his fights yes cos they are exciting cos there is the possibility he will get chinned. positives are he has good skills, can bang and will go to war. negatives are he goes to war, blames everyone apart from himself for defeats, can follow a gameplan and is not ring savy ie if he is hurt grab hold and bide for time.
I started to like Khan when he beat Kotelnik. Beat a good fighter and was humble and seemed like he matured but he soon started to lose me again with stupid comments. You can see where delusion comes from. Dad loves his son very much, So much so the whole world needs Amir Khan's .
Agreed mate. Rooted for him the Olympics. Got annoyed by the mad fuss being made of him though when he turned pro and couldn't help but feel " I'm pleased that's happened" when Prescott flattened him. After that he seemed humbled a bit and acknowledged things got too carried away and I started to like him again. I cheered for him when he fought Kotelnik, Salita and was made up when he battered gobby arse Paulie Malignaggi. After that it seemed to go his head again though when he first started taking off in America. The whole thing with Peterson and the way he behaved there put me off him permanently, regardless of what came out about Peterson afterwards. Khan behaved appallingly, anyone who says he had any clue and that he knew Peterson was using PEDs so that's why he caused a fuss is deluded. Lamont getting busted was the best thing that Amir could ever hoped for, it made him SLIGHTLY less of a tit. Still, the majority like me though couldn't just forget the months and months worth of pathetic excuse making that came before that. He put me off him permanently because I could never root for a fighter like that. Champions should behave like champions, not little girls. He's a very talented fighter, no doubt about it. However, he's also a spoiled, childish, deluded arsehole who has had smoke blown up his arse by nobhead salesmen in De La Hoya and Schaefer who ridiculously overhype all their fighters and he clearly believes them when they tell him he's some superstar who 99% of fighters in the world aren't worthy of fighting. For that reason I will never like Amir Khan. Absolutely NOTHING to do with racism.
Jeez. You really find it hard to get through a day without having a go at Khan don't you? This thread has a total of 30 posts (including mine), of which you've contributed 6. That's 20%. That's also 3 more posts then Lazarus has made, who is known to be Khan's most vocal supporter on this forum. I'd get yourself a new hobby chum. Cue the old 'it's a boxing forum and I can post what I like' response.
