Damn, dude does not cut to make 147 at all.

    Thoughts?????

So much for those saying he's a BIG WELTER, he could easily male 140 IMO, but he likes to.be.comfortable, not cut and eat what he wants. A guy like Martinez walks around @180, WAYYY TOO BIG for May

I think it's more a testament to his discipline than his size. Most fighters take their foot off the pedal with their training between fights, he doesn't.

He's 5'7" even at his age making 147 shouldn't be that hard.

    Damn mighty impressive.

What other current fighters are within approx .8% of making weight 30 days out?

    Well, not really

Most fighters who take their foot off the pedal still get in peak shape for the fight itself- and that peak shape is a weight way above the limit.

So a "big" welterweight might e.g. blow out to 180lbs, get down to his fighting weight of 160lbs, and then dehydrate down to 147lbs and rehydrate back up to 160lbs.

Big difference from Mayweather. Even if he got lazy and blew out to 180lbs, his weight when sporting his fighting physique is around 147lbs.

He's not a big welter but I doubt he could make 140. If he can make 147 that easily it's because he doesn't have a lot of fat or water left to lose.

He can make 140 easily, he just doesnt have to worry at 147. He walks around 155.

But many elite fighters enter the ring with hardly any excess fat and are still miles over the limit. Was Victor Ortiz packing a beer belly when he was 164lb vs Floyd?

The only difference is the dehydration/rehydration and I highly doubt that Floyd has some sort of weird water deficiency and couldn't dehydrate like everyone else if he wanted to.

I don't doubt that at all, but I haven't seen any actual 30 day weights for him.
