I am sure when I bought the tickets it had some warning like the fight will not start before 12pm and that the tube would not be running when it finished.... Maybe the O2 was just trying to sell its ridiculously priced parking spaces!
"@EddieHearn: “@JamesBeaver3: @EddieHearn what time do you think the Froch fight will start? #AskEddie” approx 11pm" To be honest i thought they would go with one undercard fight after the scheduled end of the football (bellew/groves), then the main event. That tweet would suggest Froch will be on as soon as the final is over though.
The final will finish at about 9.30 unless it goes to extra time and penalties, plenty of time to get one of the main undercards on before the Froch fight. If the final goes to extra time and penalties, the Froch fight will be put back.
I don't see why? I think a real vs barca final is perfect for the lead up to the fight. The O2 is already sold out so it is just the tv coverage. Any boxing fan will buy this ppv anyway as the first fight was excellent. Any causal fan will only care about the Kessler vs froch fight anyway so it doesn't really matter if they missed the bellew fight etc. (I personally would have groves fighting before the main fight). So causal fans will watch the football and then watch the boxing. Every advert break there will be a promo with a press the red button to order etc. Eddie Hearn knows what is he doing and I think the ecl final will generate a lot of extra ppv buys.
:deal The final is going to be flooded with the fight being advertised on Sky in the breaks, the coverage usually starts at 6 as well.
