Am i missing something in regards to this fight...aint harrison been in prison for 10 years? and walsh aint exactly ****
Lol, scott has spent maybe 3 years of last 8 in jail, though he was allowed to train in jail, without temptations of life on the outside. He has had 2 fights i think since Walsh had his last fight. Scott Harrison is a different animal to any other british boxing, is still world class, fit and focused and come April 20th Liam Walsh will be stopped - mark my word on that.
i had to ask mate haha , Harrisons before my time as far as hardcore follower of boxing goes...i havent ever seen one of his fights, just figured few years in jail n only 2 fights since about 2005 aint gonna help much against a young hungry fighter.
Plenty Harrison fights on youtube to watch :good . He would have seriously murdered the likes of Walsh in his prime. He was one tough, strong, *******. Not the best technically but seriously tough and game.
Found myself disliking him to be honest just cos o the stories in papers... so never gave him time of day. ill give his more recent fights a watch cos id think those are more likely to be the only significant ones at this point.
I like the odds on Harrison. Tough fight to call, Harrison hasn't looked very good in his comeback , Walsh has been inactive and only had the one fight at lightweight(i think). Walsh is decent but i don't think he's anything special. Was in serious trouble against Appleby, who i don't particularly rate. Has only fought at British/Commonwealth level and fought journeymen up until his last 4 fights. However, Walsh is a big step up from Harrison's last two opponents. Really not sure about this one.
Yeah it is a big step up from Scotts last opponents, but in fairness he's a bigger step up for Walsh. He has never in his life been in with anyone near Harrison's pedigree. And Scott looked excellent in first fight back considering, not as good in second, but still won every round and that opponent was a last minute one. There was loads of different opponents, then he was meant to fight a 10 rounder, then an 8 then a 6 rounder, and he was meant to fight at 9st 9ib but opponent could only make 10st 5ib so he then had to fight at that weight. He will be a different animal v walsh, he knows he has to, and as for hunger and desire no boxer will out do Scott in that department come fight night
How can you possibly say he looked great in his first comeback fight,he was boxing a 18 year old lad when hit and put down bounced back up 4 times that suggests to me Scott isn't punching hard I'm sorry. We will all see next week the thing you need to remember Moog is this fight is still many levels lower than what Ricky's at. If you want to see how a current champion trains come to our gym and watch a session your opinion will change instantly:good
Billy I reckon i could take Ricky in a spar mate, dont know if you would put him in with someone as young and as fast as me though.
Why don't you come and CRY I mean try? seriously we've a great spar this week with Martn J Ward absolute joy to watch:hu:good
Billy, i'm 5ft 5, about 140 pounds, slow, light puncher, with a glass jaw and stamina issues. Can i come down for sparring?
He put guy down with wee hocks, shows power in them shots. Yes i would be happy to come and watch Ricky train, if i was not so heavy compared to him i would even offer to spar him a round ! As i say i rate ricky just wish he would fight big guns.
