I think Macklin will give it a really good effort, but I agree with all of you guys, a late stoppage is most likely. I think Barker would have a better chance of out-boxing GGG, but Macklin likes to trade...and I wouldn't recommend trading with GGG to anyone.

Golovkin KO mid-to late. Should be a great fight early on but with Macklin always coming forwards it should be a recipe for disaster against GGG.

  3. K.O victory for GGG in the first half of the fight, probably round 4-6.

Macklin must be getting paid beaucoup bucks for this one, since he may have to retire afterwards.

He's not the type to back down, so let's hope his face & skull doesn't get busted up too badly.

Not gonna matter. GGG will KO anyone from 154-168 no matter which weight they fight at.:deal:deal:deal

If Rosado can make it to 7, then theres no way Macklin doesnt make it further.

The guy went 11 with Martinez and gave him trouble too.

Lets see if GGG has a chin.

Rosado didn't come to fight, macklin will. Huge difference.

  9. GGG was ill in the fight against Rosado, he had a flu. I have a flu too right now and wonder how he even stepped in the ring and showed a good performance.

I give Mack four rounds max before he's a bloody mass on the ground. Maybe two. Comparing Golovkin-Rosado and Macklin-Martinez to this fight is off base. These two are going to move straight at each other throwing bombs.

Macklin getting massively overlooked.Guess golovkin is likely to stop him late, but mathew's going to give hell & go down swinging like always does that's for sure.

Exactly Macklin has big cajones. I think GGG will ko Macklin and irconically Macklin poses the biggest threat GGG has faced in his career.
I mean if Macklin caught GGG early we will be in new territory but GGG's defense is great and I think he is too ring smart.
I expect GGG to feel Macklin out and Macklin to try and continue his new found style under Buddy McGirt which worked relatively well early on against Martinez.

It will be a race against the clock for both fighters.
How fast can GGG adust to what ever Macklin springs at him AND how long can Macklin try to confuse GGG before either tiring or resorting to his original style of engaging!
    and the winner is....
    the fans :thumbsup

Exactly...Golovkin has never been in with a full prime 160lbs'er who can punch.

If he thinks he can just walk through Macklin, like those other fighters, hes in for a PAINFUL shock

Golovkin doesn't simply walk through anyone. He is a methodical fighter with great ring IQ, power and excellent at cutting off the ring. When he puts all those together its Macklin who will be in for the painful shock June 29th.
