Martin is a very talented young man,he sparred excellently this week and that will benifit him greatly,he actually reminds me of Scott when we used to go to London for top sparring with Colin Dunne and Patrick Mullins ect, great willingness to learn goes away thinks about his spar and the next day doesnt make the same mistake as often.
Martin is only 21 and will get stronger and stronger and will return to Glasgow to finish sparring for this fight :good

Always like to see highly rated young boxers being brave enough and smart enough to spar world class boxers. Look down south De Gale refused to spar with Froch (gave countless offers to do so) then you get George Groves sparring with him, and what happens the underdog Groves beats De Gale as he learned a lot sparring with Froch (getting dominated off Froch). Hopefully Martin Ward will learn the same from know doubt getting schooled of Ricky.

10 rounds this one apparently, they can do that for these European minor titles so does that change anything for either man.

I was thinking it might suit Walsh but perhaps Harrison will be happier not having to worry about the extra two.

Either way still should be a cracking fight.

I think McAlister will have the edge on Willie now, i hope i am wrong on that 1. It made me think with McAllister's movement he would have been an ideal sparring partner for Scott to prepare for Walsh, but he wouldn't spar with him no doubt as he's fighting willie

Martin never got schooled by Ricky Moog it wash excellent weeks sparring, to be fair I'd like Scottish boxers to spar him but at present there isn't anyone strong or good enough to be perfectly honest.
