Let's face it, we were all gullible, fantasy ****s thinking that there would be 300m watching the fight lol It's funny now when we look back at it.

3.4m is such a ridiculously low figure for a population so great. Arum has taken bull**** to a whole new height.

So promoters, still up for venturing into China?

i think 300 million chinese got better things to do than watch some chinese dude box for 4 rounds

still didnt beat koki kameda who got 25 million to watch him from 1 of his previous fights

There are streets in China with more people than that. Disappointing.

To be fair though, it was his debute. I don't doubt he could beat KK's record if he makes himself a name on the international scene and has a title shot in China for example.

Six and a half million people watched Audley Harrison's debut on the BBC in the UK.

Percentage wise(considering the potential audience), that's probably worse than the recent typical HBO numbers.

And when you consider it was probably on free tv....not really impressive.

Understandable though being that Shiming is not impressive as a pro.

This indicates the complete opposite of what was projected earlier. And here I thought a body of people the size of the entire US population was tuning in.

Sport isn't that big in china relatively speaking. There's probably very small boxing interest as well. Zou has a good position to change that

3 mill or 30 mill. Still big audience watching a debut boxing fight

I always wondered why promoters did not pick up more Chinese fighters. The market would be huge if they would took their time marketing a good Chinese fighter plus China has money.
