Trivia test question.

As we all know, Jersey Joe Walcott had 4 unsuccessful title challenges - before he finally became heavyweight champion in his 5th try.
Several other world champions took, like Walcott, 5 title shots to capture their crown...
but which champion needed the most attempts to win his 2nd world title (after having lost the 1st one)?

To make it simple, let's agree that a world champion must be recognized as such by BoxRec.

And to avoid any uncertainty regarding ND fights, let's say we are talking about a fighter, who has been active in the last 50 years.

After losing the middleweight crown to Duran, Barkley lost world title fights against Michael Nunn and Nigel Benn - before taking the IBF super middleweight title from Darrin van Horn.

In other words, Barkley needed 3 attempts to capture his 2nd world crown - which isn't enough to "win" this category.
