Haven't seen a poll for this fight recently and it looks like quite a few posters are picking Rigo.

    Pick! :bbb

Wonder why they didn't put a poll in the "sticky".

They should make "stickies", with polls, for all these big fights!

Let me start off by saying that I am a fan of both Nonito Donaire and Guillermo Rigondeaux. They are two very special fighters, to say the least. I have all the respect in the world for what Donaire is doing to clean up boxing. No matter who you are rooting for in this contest, it is just great to know that both competitors are clean. We know that because both fighters agreed to undergo random blood and urine drug testing to be conducted by VADA for this bout. We can all thank Nonito for that as he is truly a pioneer in professional sports. As most of you already know, Donaire is the first professional boxer to participate in year-round random drug testing. I hope many other fighters will follow his lead in the future.

Guillermo Rigondeaux is also a fighter that I respect immensely. He is without a doubt one of the most talented men in the history of the sport. I know that is a big statement, but I stand by it. His amateur pedigree is nothing short of amazing, winning two gold medals in as many Olympic Games. He had nearly 400 amateur bouts, losing only 12. Already in his short professional career, he has compiled a record of 11-0 with 8 knockouts and is ranked #1 for Donaire's World Jr. Featherweight crown. He has gone the full 12 round distance on two occasions, winning both decisions clearly. He has looked great thus far against opposition ranging from good to not so good.

It is safe to say that Rigondeaux hasn't seen anything like what will be in front of him tonight. It just so happens that he will be facing one of the very best pugilists in the world today, not to mention a naturally bigger man. I think it is also safe to say that Donaire will be in the ring against a talent of which he has never seen before, either pro or amateur. This fight excites me for many reasons as it has countless other fans of the sweet science. For those who truly love this sport, tune in tonight. This will not be a Rios-Alvarado affair, rather it will be a skillful give and take type of match that could end at any time. Both combatants possess power and the speed necessary to deliver that power.

I am rooting for Rigondeaux all the way as he is one of my favorite active fighters. However, I am picking Donaire to win a decision in a competitive bout. I wouldn't be shocked if Donaire scored a sudden knockout in this fight, but Rigondeaux is an excellent defensive fighter and knows Donaire can hit. That is primarily why I see the fight going the distance. I expect Rigondeaux to outbox Donaire in the beginning until he gets a taste of Nonito's power. Then I figure Donaire will outwork Rigondeaux down the stretch and get the points victory. I could see it being a 7 rounds to 5 type of fight. The match is 11 hours away and I can hardly wait!

Donaire will knock Rigo the **** out. Donaire will be the aggressor and Rigo will hold and run for as long as he can but Donaire will stop his ***** ass and hopefully that will signal the end of the Rigo hype.

Since the poll is anonymous, looks like it's a reflection of who are you pulling for more so than who do you really think will win.

    :deal real ****

I remember when before they announced Donaire's next opponent I was convinced it wouldn't be Rigondeaux because it was too good to be true and because he's only had 11 fights I thought there would be too many excuses for it too be made

Respect to both of them for making it

    Rigo TKO
