Weirdest thing you experienced watching a boxing match?

    i was pretty pissed when some drunk guy kept talking to me and my woman at a bar during pac-marquez 4, caused us to miss the knockout.
    i was very pissed, but i would find out later that during that same evening, one of my buddies car broke down, another one of my buddies got into a car accident, and another buddy of mine got a dui, ..all that same evening. ****ing weird.
    i guess i didnt have it so bad after all. plus i got to see the replay on youtube as soon as i got home

    I do remember several Mexican friends/coworkers being DEVASTATED when Barrera lost to Manny. Everyone was certain Barrera was going to keep rolling along until he surpassed Chavez.

    As for the thread, I spilled a huge stein of beer in shock when Devon Alexander essentially sparked Juan Urango with that demonic uppercut. I would have had an easier time believing that Ivan Calderon dropped Oliver McCall.

    This fight was after he got knocked out by k9. It showed to me that fighters and athletes in general truly don't know when to retire.

    In other news, spinks seemed like a really cool guy. I got to meet bj Flores and don king that night as well. Flores was a great guy to talk to. Really seems to appreciate the fans showing up to watch. I think he stood there and talked to every fan in the building.
