:rofl:rofl Wards best win is Kessler. you know, the one who Calzaghe beat when he was prime and undefeated while boxing within the rules. Ward had to cheat throughout. Calzaghe beat a prime Bika by wide UD. Ward struggled with a past prime version who had been out of the ring for some time. try again, son.
anyone with even the slightest bit of knowledge would rip what you've said apart. you're incredibly stupid. once you've been corrected enough times, it become pointless because you never learn. it's best to just ignore you as much as possible.
it's actually the other way round. idiot. joe beat Kessler and Bika before Ward did. where do these idiots come from?
Ward is brilliant at reading patterns. He establishes his opponents rhythm and then works off of that. Say what you like about Calzaghe, but he had a variance in tempo and tactics that always made him incredibly hard to read. He also makes his own adjustments, which is why Hopkins struggled so much in the fight. Nard started out being able to time his own right hand on to Calzaghe, before Joe took the opportunity away from him. Who has Ward fought who can make adjustments on that scale? Probably no-body. Ward would have success, he's too good not to. Calzaghe was no Sweet Pea, and he'd probably take flush shots. What is also un-deniable is that Calzaghe out works Ward. Talk about counters all you like, but Dre has never had to deal with five six and seven punch combinations. Can he? Possibly, but there's every chance that for every two or three he blocks, he takes one, and that his own offense is nullified by activity. Everyone who has fought Ward, has hit him with the intention of hurting him. It's no big secret that the Calzaghe ethos was on points scoring, rather than seeking a KO. Speed and accuracy over power is much more difficult to answer, than when a guy loads up. It'd be a close fight, but Calzaghe has a bigger gas tank than Ward, which I think would allow him to sweep the Championship rounds. This fight would be the perfect example, of the importance of controlling the tempo.
Many on ESB never watched prime Calzaghe. I believe Prime Calzaghe would stop Ward, and think old end of career version would widely outpoint Ward. It shocked me how competitive Ward/Froch was and Ward seems to slow significantly in harder fights as they go on, as seen against Bika and Froch who seemed to have the upper hand a bit more towards the end. Calzaghe would be doing alot more than either of those fighters. Calzaghe wins
So you dont rate Calzaghes resume and indicate he is not in Wards league, yet Wards best win is an unwell double vision suffering past prime fighter, who was arguably rusty and hadnt fought a top SMW for 3 years that old shot end of career Calzaghe beat when prime and undefeated . Got it atsch
Ward has elite boxing skills, an olympic gold medal, and has fought and CONCISELY beaten the best opponents of his era. His career still has a long way to go. Calzaghe couldn't hope to win an olympic gold, took on NONE of the big challenges of his era, and hid in the UK for 95% of his shitty career. The only people that respect him are pathetic brittards. There were SO many fights out there for Calzaghe. He knew with his sloppy amateurish style he couldn't handle truly elite boxers, so he avoided them.
