Sorry he's lost me as a fan. I wanted Rigo to win and felt he could. But so happy Rigo won now. Donaire may be moving into houses, child on the way. Rigo spends everyday away from his loved ones. Weight making,Shoulder Injury and loading up and not planning for it. I don't think Nonito ever wanted the fight and maybe felt the Marroquin fight exposed weaknesses in Rigo. Don't see him going for rematch personally.
I don't know.bout the rest of u guys, but I really enjoyed that. Top class bout. Doesn't have to be all gung ho haymakers to make a good fight. Plus I won like 70 euro.
It was a great fight from Rigo hes a class fighter i dont see anyone who can beat him right now but would still love to see him fight Mares.
The kind of fighter people will love while he rises and then hate when he's at the top for the exact same thing they loved him for earlier. Classy display
Only critique is that I would like to see rigo go for the kill more often ( although in this case because of my bet I was happy he didn't). Then again this was his biggest fight so far and he knew he was comfortably up so probably didn't feel it neccessary to get wreckless in the last. Class fighter, looks like Andy Cole.
That's a bit harsh I think mate. Donaire gave it everything tonight he just lacked a bit of preparation and I think most of those excuses were factors in his poor performance. He still gave credit to Rigo and was pretty honest and humble in the interview.
yeah that sums it up it was an amazing performance but it ain't wasn't a thrillingclassic. I'll only watch again for technique study
I agree. Remember Larry Merchant on Chad Dawson who faced Pascal and Larry said something along the lines of ''It's tough when your first thought and action is a defensive one to then become a naturally attacking fighter''. Think maybe sames for Rigo. Roach and Shields tried to get him to be more offensive but i think Diaz will be the man to nurture it. I think because he's so relaxed he may tend also to feel comfortable. He doesn't seem urgent, watching him in the corner he wasn't even breathing heavy.
didnt disappoint me...i like to think i come from the boxing enthusiasts point of view..chess matches and thinking boxers are as satisfying to watch as big bangers.....and at that, me and my dog must bid you good night...er..good morning btw....timothy bradley should never be let near a commentating mic ever again.
The confusing thing is how did some people see the donaire interview when boxnation only showed rigos?? Rigo 1 of the quickest ive seen Wilfredo gomez kos rigo
