What we saw tonight was a once in a generation talent finally come of age in the pro ranks. We did however see him get Knocked down....which has happened in his last two fights. He might be p4p. But that would say more about floyd not being what he used to be. Lets not go crazy over rigo. But its fair to respect the talent.

Can I remind people that Beatle is a ****ing ******.

Rigo can be ranked top 3 on skills/ability and speculation at the very best. He's safely top 10, maybe top 5 but he needs to face more styles still.

Rigondeaux is definitely p4p no.1. This win is bigger than any of Mayweather's wins. In his 12th fight, he schools a p4p no.4 who was undefeated for his last 30 fights. Rigondeaux also has a much, much better amateur record than Floyd. Compared to Rigondeaux, Floyd is a talentless piece of ****.

I think you would still have to put Mayweather in front of him from a skill standpoint. Mayweather doesn't get knocked down, whereas Rigo does. And not from a lack of chin, he just plain doesn't expect to get hit and gets caught off-guard from time to time. Ward is also probably ahead in skill by a little.

If you factor in records and accomplishments then you'd probably have to put Martinez and Marquez ahead of him as well for now.

If he moved up and beat Garcia I'd have him at #2.

So winning against Donaire is better than winning by KO against Pacquaio who was #1 or #2 p4p. No way he is ahead of JMM. Also Andre Ward has beaten more accomplished names and the best at 168 so he is also ahead. Mayweather is still in the game and still #1 p4p.

Actually I wouldnt disagree. As far as skills per pound he might as well could be. Let him prove himself. That performance was incredible. He was putting Donaire in a tight headlock (not just grabbing him or pushing his head down) quicker than the eye could catch. It was unreal.

Ring magazine is going to update their list. Broner goes 1 spot up and Rigo makes the list.
Tbh Broner should not be even on the whole list but if he is Rigo should be way ahead of him.

not really giving a **** about this thread but I imagine the Cuban followers will be all over it so hopefully they can help me out here:

1- what was rigo' amateur record

2- does anyone hold an unavenged victory over him in the am's?
