Let's see who picked up what last night.

What technical plans and adjustments did you notice from Rigo, which took away Donaire's out put, jab and left hook? He even took away the straight right to the body eventually.

    Impress me ESB.

By always staying 10 steps away and just go in to land enough to win rounds :good

Rigo did so many things. It was boxing 101. He always took the angle away from Donaire and used feints to freeze Donaire constantly. His footwork was amazing and he controlled the range. I noticed how Rigo would take a quick step back as soon as Donaire got closer and Rigo would throw something as soon as Donaire started to reset. His defense from upper body movement, footwork, shoulder roll at times had ND shook.

I think donaire just wasn't willing to let his hands go. Maybe there was something rigo did that made him hesitate but I'm gonna be honest I didn't see what it was. Donaire was the bigger man and when he got up close he was scared to throw. Was donaire scared of being countered? Surely not because he has a pretty good chin and has good speed. Maybe he wasn't confident about his speed?

Dude go join a gym and learn something instead of just being an idiot.

Boxing was is an art, a science and Rigo taught a class last night. You sir failed that class bc you didn't like how the teacher taught so you failed to learn what they were teaching. Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit.

You want to see Gatti, Margarito. You want to see blood and can't appreciate the sport for what it has always been.

keeping the fight at the range he wanted, having the quicker hands, Nonito's fear of eating counters.

But to be fair that doesn't stop donaire attempting to throw punches. Look at Marquez v mayweather. Floyd took the angles away from juan but that didn't stop Marquez from throwing and looking like a fool in the process. Donaire didn't throw even when he was up close. What did rigo do to him that made him so scared to throw more than one punch? Maybe his power was greater than what donaire thought it would be.

No. Rigo kept him honest if he would have got wild . rigo would have knocked him out period. Rigo was more powerful than nonito which I said all along

making him lead. Donaire looks bad when he has to lead - and he just doesnt let his hands go. He's had the same problem in his last several fights. No surprises here . He hasn't looked that impressive since Montiel. Rigo just exploited this but he didnt do a whole lot himself in return. This wasn't a schooling of any kind .

Pivoting off the hook, moving to the left away from Donaire's hook and ducking under his right. When weaving he also crouched to avoid that right to the body, pawing jab got in the way of Donaire's hook

I want to see Toney, Whitaker heck even Floyd in many of his recent fights. These guys avoided getting hit in close distance and still fight.

Rigo did a cha cha, he matched Donaire's 1 step forward with 1 step backward.

-Circling to his left a lot (a la Michael Moorer) which is something few southpaws do for obvious reasons. Combine that movement with some beautiful pivots to his right whenever the pressure was on & it prevented Nonito ever getting set & unloading on a stationary target.

-Being very defensively aware when ever he threw his jab & especially his right hook, the way he rolled under & to his right after throwing it neutralised Nonito's money shot, the counter left hook.

    - Rigo was very cute with his left hand, he only really threw it when he was very confident it would land & he timed some beautiful counters. Mixed it up well between head & body, along with his excellent feints it kept Nonito guessing all night.

    - Calm & efficient, very little wasted energy from Rigo. When Nontio wanted to attack Rigo just took a little walk & maintained range with minimal effort. By simply changing angles in a subtle but effective way he made Nonito's jab & general offence look useless.

Anybody notice how he used his right hand, to stop Donaire throwing the left?
