It's too bad. I was mildly chuffed for Rasmanudin vs. Ngotiko, actually.

Rasmanudin is a strange lad - I think Dragon Fire were originally hoping to set him up as Chris John's heir apparent when he was coming up (at one point 13-0-2 with eight knockouts) but he ran into some hard luck or more likely just hard matchmaking the likes of which holds up a brutally honest magnifying glass. Every time Rasmanudin stepped up in class he got knocked out in short order. Granted, they were decent Asia-level fighters all - but he's clearly no dragon hatchling...scantly even a wyvern! [/nerd]

They still package him on every John card and he seems to be a bit of a fan favorite...but tonight he's in with an unbeaten kid from Tanzania.

It makes you wonder about the reasoning behind DFP selecting Ngotiko. Did they scout him and determine it was a safe padded zero for Rasmanudin to gobble up and regain some confidence? ...or is it more like "Here, last chance, we're not quite throwing you in with the Matsuhita/Iwasa/Tapales sort again but neither is the coddling tomato can free ride persisting. Show us what you got...sink or swim..."

This is like the fifth brand of ramen noodles I've seen a commercial for in half an hour.

    So...fetch some breakfast now, lads.

We're probably in for another twenty minutes of commercials and/or commentator gab while RCTI is busy not showing the match between Rasmanudin and Ngotiko (who's only stopped three of seven at bottom of the barrel African domestic level)

Oh ****...they've come back from a long commercial break and sure enough the commentators are going at it...but you can make out the ring behind them, empty but for the ring announcer under a spotlight!

    Somebody got dismissed early. :think

    Oh...hold on.

    A commercial for Indonesian coffee?

Full alert, boys. That country yields quality Joe.

J.J. Royal - I'm going to look that brand up and see if they can be imported.

Only 2500rp! :deal (whatever the hell that works out to)

We're almost one full hour in, and no live boxing yet. Come on, RCTI.

Your adverts are all cute (the first several times each...) and I'm sure these fellas are providing some deeply analytical and profound insight we can't understand - but SHOW US SOME DRAGON FIRE, please.

Just returning to say that Indonesian TV - well, RCTI - is nothing short of marvelous.

Shout out the John-Yordan RBR still being the greatest.

Oh wow, Daud's kid brother fought on the undercard...or is going to...

WHY AREN'T WE SEEING THE UNDERCARD? :cus

    IT ISN'T FAIR. :|

I stayed up til 3am buzzing over Rigondeaux vs. Donaire, and then got up at the crack of 6:30 to watch my son on first shift to allow me to execute the hand-off to his mom and free me up for the RBR for this big Dragon Fire show...which I was expecting at the bottom of the ****ing hour back at 9am EST! :rant
