after seeing it i would say boring. During it i would say exciting cause you're always expecting something special to happen at any minute.
the thing is this, sure at times it was a snoozer, but remember, normaly all floyd fans should now be rigo fans, because floyd does even less than rigo in this fight rigo had to fight this way, cautios and scoring, because donaire is a big puncher and you cant rumble with him for 12 rounds, you have, if you wanna win, technicly dismantle him and thats what rigo did.
Only an idiot would say it was action packed, it was something a boxing fan could appreciate due to some of the skill being displayed (especially by Rigo) but there were some rounds where Rigo went from slick counterpuncher moving backwards to a strait up runner who was doing a sprint in the ring.
You've put two completely different things. You said exciting or boring but then in the poll you put action packed or snoozer. It was exciting but it wasn't action packed.
I've never seen Floyd sprint around the ring like Rigo even when he was fighting JLC in their two fights he was using movement and potshotting a lot but his output was significantly higher then what we saw from Rigo last night.
Well I fell asleep watching this crap live in rd3. Tells it all really. Ringo should of stayed as an amateur. Man is ****inging skilled but boring as ****.
even when he was "running", as a boxing fan, i found it very interesting to see how he was reacting to donaire's pressure. he'd move to the left then to the right then to the left again. the way he circled was brilliant. nonito couldnt cut off the ring. it was very impressive. something was always happening. it was a tense fight. i didnt think it was boring at all. i was on the edge of my seat till the very end when rigo tried to close the show like a true champion. he hurt donaire in the 12th round ffs! he was tryin to knock him out!
it wasn't an action packed fight, but it was exciting because they both had power, they both were fast and you knew that something really special would have happened if anyone committed a significant mistake. In the end though, no one really made a big mistake so the fireworks never really happened (Except for the 10th, and the 12th when Nonito was covering his eye and Rigo was going for the kill) It was definitely one for the purists though, not the casual fans.
I personally liked it, 2 top fighters in a chess match, but I can see how some people wouldn't. Tension was high throughout the fight even if the action wasn't. However, if Rigo continues to fight like this he might have a problem selling tickets.
I was thorougly excited throughout the fight. It was a tense boxing match that could have ended at anytime.
That was a running boxing lesson, the kind of fight a coward would display. Don't believe me ask the crowd .
I appreciate the skill Rigo had in making Donaire look horrible but it wont be a fight that im keeping in my DVR lets put it that way.
