i like him too. i disagree with his scoring and bias to HBO fighters (like Pacquiao) many times, but he is very entertaining.
I agree with this, though I was disappointed Lampley decided to use his sign-off comments to support Donaire's excuse catalog.
no way they couldn't, They have never really bothered me that much though. Roy is light years better than Lenox
Forgot what fight it was but Lennox said the following. "When they say you don't have a puncher's chance, you usually have a puncher's chance"
To me it wasn't what he said but the fact that he couldn't put his thoughts together. I suppose that line could be a classic case of that.
Boxnations was terrible, I had Rigo up 5-0 you coulda gave Donaire one the commentator had Donaire up by 1 lol Then near the 9th or 10th maybe after the knockdown I heard him say he has Donaire up by 3 Why the **** can't they score lol
Yeah I know tough guy. Ya got me good. Please. You guys are like Alzheimer's patients. You keep going back to HBO only to cry about it worse than a fat 13 year old who just ran out of cake. "oh man Jim Lampley is a dummy whaaaaahh!" Keep crying Nancy. Maybe you should change your tampon and take your Mom's **** out of your ass.
I had an international feed - it was awful "Nonito is clearly setting the pace and stealing these rounds" Only boxer to win rounds without landing punches apparently
Strangely they saw the fight how it went down, not how they wanted to go down. There are usually 2 kinds of HBO deliveries: 1) biased for the hyped fighter 2) bored of the whole fight. It seems like they were just excited for this one without BS and called it how it was.
I was happy with the commentary last night. At least Roy Jones didn't show any favoritism like he did for Bradley against Provodnikov. And I most definitely agree with how HBO saw the fight. I actually scored it 118-110 due to the fact that I scored the second round even. After watching the fight a second time, I think Rigondeaux even won the second. Great, great performance by El Chacal. Maybe a lot of you don't realize what we witnessed last night. We were fortunate to witness arguably the greatest amateur boxer of all time win the legitimate World Jr. Featherweight title by defeated a top 5 pound for pound fighter in Nonito Donaire. Not only did Rigondeaux win, but he dominated! That is something very special. Last night was one of those Legendary Nights worthy fights.
Generally I feel the same way about HBO commentary. I would agree that they finally got it right last night.
because hes always yelling and screaming and loses his train of thought mid sentence trying to find words to finish his sentences. i truly believe that anyone with a 120+ iq could do better than lampley without having any experience whatsover. hes horrible. not funny, not informative...just nothing. just another 60+ year-old-man with grey hair. now michael buffer, that 60-year-old-man brings value.
