Can someone please explain what Donaire did....

It simply wasn't a close bout. Some people seem to believe moving in a forward motion is the definition of aggression and ring generalship. When in truth, Rigo controlled around 35 minutes of the action, when they exchanged, and when they didn't.

I'd like to hear it too. I thought donaire was going to win, but he did nothing but get a boxing lesson from PhD Rigo

Good comment too. Walking someone down while NOT THROWING is not effective aggression. Rigo was more aggressive fighting from the the back foot than Donaire was coming forward.

 

When they re-tallied the points and I first heard 114-113....I said to myself, "Holy ****! We are going to see another DLH-Tito type robbery."

if you hand over the close rounds to Donaire you have a close fight, what I saw wasnt a close fight it was a clear win for Rigo.
But Rigo did take his foot off the gas from rounds 7-11 a bit However in those five rounds I had given donaire 3 of them the 7th the 8th and the 10th the 7th and 8th I thought he did enough to win them but those to were close.

The first two rounds were intense, they to were close I gave them both to Rigo I gave Rigo 5 of the first 6 rounds and 3 of the last 6...

it wasnt close but it sure wasnt an ass beating that people are pretending it to be. Rigo slowed down in the 2nd half IMO but that is likely due to him knowing he had control he earned Donaires respect and was able to coast a bit.

I had it 8-4 Rigo, but there was a 10-8 round and out of the four rounds I gave to Donaire 3 of them were close if anything you have a better argument saying Rigo dominated the entire fight than you would arguing that Donaire lost a close UD.

Have to give him credit for being the only one really making it a fight. I can see him getting a few rounds here and there in that respect. I had it 10-2 Rigo, though he disappointed me greatly with his strategy. But, a win is a win, and he won.

Donaire was suppost to be picking up the MP bandwagon.

 

Rigo didn't do **** the first half of the fight. Maybe he won two rounds clearly but the other four it was close. All Rigo did was run run run pot shot run. The HBO commentators are saying it wasn't a contest but they're not the judges that's why fans watching it listening to Max Roy and Jim thinks it was a shutout by Rigo. If you throw in lederman's score which is the only visible scoring the fans see then fans are all convince it was no contest but that wasn't the case. Had Donaire won rounds 11 and 12 he could've pulled it off via split decision winning 115-112, 114-113 and losing to one judge 113-114.
