I don't know about the last part of you comment. I personally appreciate all type of fights from boxing tactical ones to wars. I don't believe there is one perfect style fighters that can switch between styles are the most successful ones.

No doubt! Personally, I have a difficult time envisioning Rigo beating the versions of MAB and Morales who fought in 2000. Technically, both were (at least in my humble estimation) better than Donaire ever was.

I concede, however, that overwhelming feelings of nostalgia could be swaying my view here. Nonetheless, I'd favor those versions of MAB and Morales over Rigo.

Morales was already far removed from what he was capable of at 122 when he moved a good deal north for the Raheem fight.

Man beats Donaire by decision ,and barley boxes in the process he now schools all 3 in their prime in Morales ,Barrera and Pacquio ..I really hope he goes undefeated .With this kind of talk

To reiterate and expand on my sentiment from a few posts back, I would favor the trio of MAB-EM-MP over both Rigo and Nonito at '22.

They all beat him, they're all at least one entire level above Donaire. They're much more educated in their aggression and he can't avoid a fight against them all night the way he did v. Donaire, except maybe JMM, and JMM would most likely outpoint him in a boxing match. Barrera especially would have moved heaven and earth to get at him at 122, he was a ****ing savage.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that Raheem fought a shell of Morales at the lowest point of his career? That he had zero resemblance to the terror he was at 122?

Wasn't that fight following his win over Pac? Agreed that he was well past his best, and more importantly, wasn't that fight at '35?

I agree with what you're saying, except "low point". Although with the advantage of hindsight, that was clearly the beginning of the end for Morales, if not earlier during the 3rd MAB fight.

Rigo's power is untested, just because he stopped a couple of C level fighters, doesn't mean he can hurt Barrera.

I'm almost sure that Barrera can hurt him, and Marco woldn't throw 20 punches a round like Donaire, he would be all over Rigo digging that ribcage.

Rigo has looked like **** in several of his recent fights. Is the Donaire fight the only time you've ever watched him?

I was ringside for that fight. Erik got hit with shots *I* saw coming. Like he couldn't be bothered to get out of the way.

And Rigo has a faaaaar ****ing road to go before he's proven to be on even McKinney's or Junior Jones level. I swear posters here think anyone before 2010 is ancient history.

Let's just get to the very root of this thread: There is no ****ing objective possibility for anyone to start picking Rigo over elte ATG's. He doesn't like to mix it up, he has a negative style, he's been dropped and looked bad against average fighters. He managed to lure Donaire into a non-fight, that's his main claim to fame.

The reason for these threads is because black posters are deeply racist in their boxing fandom. They hate the 3 Mexicans because they're Mexican. They hate Pacquiao because he's Phillipino. They show huge love for any black fighter in the baby stages of his career because he's black, and that's IT. It's disgusting. They're not alone in that of course, the chin checkers will defend any euro fighter to the death with any absurd claim, but at least they have a sense of humor about it.
