Neither guy fights like the guy they're being compared to.

Rigondeaux and the 147 version of Floyd don't fight much alike, and Donaire has almost nothing in common with Manny other than being Filipino. They're poles apart stylistically.

Floyd vs Manny in 2009/2010 is a close fight. If Floyd himself thought he'd whip the Asian midget, the fight would have happened. Maybe he could have, but he wasn't 100% sure of it, which is why he never collected the big payday.

You've nearly been on the site for 10 friggin' years and make the stupidest of comparisons.

By the way, Pacquiao ran from Floyd?

not exactly...but it's pretty much like this

defense, ring generalship, accuracy etc etc - rigo/floyd

power (which is pretty equal IMO), speed, and NO PLAN B - nonito/manny

I a fan of both guys but never wanted them to fight because I thought Manny would lose badly (something I never admitted until recently). I can see the analogy even though both fighters do not fight the same. Pac's biggest down fall is his footwork . . . his slight bounce and in and out is easily timed (donaire has better footwork) by elite fighters like JMM and Floyd. I see Floyd picking Manny apart as Manny tries to close the distance and possibly through in the odd time stepping in and beating him up on the inside. The key is Manny would be as off balance and unsure of himself as Donaire was Saturday. Manny has an outside shot by creating angles and his power but Floyd can adjust like he did against SSM and dominate from that point on. while neither guy has seen anyone else like the other in the ring, Mayweathers ring IQ and ability to adjust is what set them apart. Arum knows styles makes fights and Floyd was all wrong for Manny and decided to milk him with all in house fights. Since "Money" is an easy target it he was able to shift blame to Mayweather. Unfortunately, casual fans are stupid and even hardcore fans fail to understand the difference between facts and spin.

    I don't particularly like Manny.

It was Floyd who requested the tests in the first place, when NO OTHER FIGHTER has a problem fighting Manny.

It was Floyd who kept moving the goal posts with the negotiations.

You'd have to be crazy to think Floyd wanted that fight.

Ha! You think that he wasn't relieved when Marquez knocked him out, and there was no more pressure to fight Manny?
