I still think that Haye is the best H2H threat in the HW division outside Wlad.
But I think I'll go with Fury, since Wlad has already dominated Haye.

Fury a big puncher? Also you need a lot of speed. Fury is not very fast. And Abdusalamov (lol) is even slower with a terrible defense.
It has to be a fast, technical strong puncher. Also a fighter who is willing to take high risks and with a good chin ofcourse. I cant see a fighter like that right now.

Answer is quite obvious: Kubrat Pulev.

He has the size, the hard snapping jab, and the confident aggressive mindset to take Wlad out of his comfort zone, and if he does that then the fight's anyone's to win.

No one else really comes close at the moment.

Pulev has not enough power to trouble Wladimir. And I dont think there is any boxer who can outbox Wladimir. Never happend befor! You have to stop him and hurt him bad in order to win.
But yeah Pulev might be the hardest opponent for Wladimir.

david haye if he fights the right fight.

i`d love to see a final eliminator against tyson furey, not cos he`s the next best thing, but he deserves to be tested and imo exposed before he gets a shot at a title..

a heavyweight tournament is whats needed, i`d rather see some credible losses than padded out undefeateds :)

Some of the responses here are awful. For one you need an Iron Chin to beat Wlad. Puritty and Brewster had this. You also have to be not afraid to take his punches and go right at him and pressure him like Sanders and Brewster did. Another thing is the gloves have to be held high and tight like Purrity and Sanders did. Wlad is strong as a bull and will split the gloves with a damn Jab if your guard is not strong enough.

So to beat or even contend with him at this point you need:

    An Iron Chin
    No Fear
    High Tight guard
    Pressure

People saying Haye :rofl or Fury :rofl:lol: are out of their mind. It is going to take someone to say '**** it' and give 100% to go right at him from the beginning instead of just stand on the outside and take Jabs etc.

Honestly at this current time and Wlad's style he has perfected that Steward taught him I am not sure anyone can beat him. But, it is Heavyweight Boxig and one punch can turn a fight very fast as we have seen. I have one name that MIGHT be able to give him issues but he isn't ready yet and is close to Wlad's size and sloppy but he can bang and is not scared. Won't be a popular pick for sure.....

I don't see Solis or Povetkin having a chance with Wlad at all. They'll just be sitting on the outside the minute they feel Wlad's jab. I can see Pulev, Fury, maybe Jennings having success. but we'll have to see how Fury vs Cunningham goes first

Jennings as much as I like him would get Obliterated. I don't think Pov has a chance his face will be a mess by the 3rd round from all the Jabs he will eat. Fury doesn't have the Chin.

Pulev I don't know enough about some on here are high on him but not sure about his punching power :think
