It's easy to say he didn't have to, but one has to take into account Tim's nature as a fighter. Tim likes wars and going toe-to-toe and doesn't prefer to back down. When a fighter's out on his feet like he was, he'll go back to his natural instincts. In this case, Tim's natural instincts were about the worst 180 from the plan Diaz wanted him to execute imaginable.

Provodnikov deserves some credit for literally knocking Tim out of that gameplan for half the fight. Bradley fought a sizable chunk of that fight on pure instinct with no regard to the fans or strategy, and that was due to Provodnikov's power shots short circuiting him.

Highly doubt that, you could tell he was trying to please the crowd from the opening bell.

Wanting to please the crowd from the opening bell has absolutely no bearing on how you fight when you're out on your feet and fighting on instinct. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

The difference is big, I hear it to. In the first video some words are slurred, others he sounds like hes trying not to slur, taking his time over his words, nothing like the other video where hes speaking freely.

very small change if anything. One fight usually does not do it, it takes many fights.

He should embrace the boos, play up to them...be the man people love to hate and he'll get famous that way. Then he won't have to brawl to get PPV, he can be defensive and back off with his jab but he'll be such a booed theatrical villain after a while , out of the ring people will start taking interest which will equate to more PPV

In other words, take a page out of Mayweather's book :nut

It does take several weeks to recover fully from a concussion. He'll be alright.

I'd love for him to do that! I know he's a nice guy, but this could work in his favor. People would pay to watch this "boring" fighter get his butt kicked! I'm not saying he should go "full Mayweather", but definitely embrace the hate. Feed off of it! Let those boos bring a smile to your face, Tim! Laugh all the way to the bank!

I'm thinking Tim's chin has been permanently cracked.

If there's any damage there he should take a fight with Pac and if he loses then retire...if he win's take one last fight with Marquez and then retire for good, either way he should retire at 30 years old before he get's any worse.

If he did have one last fight with Pac before retiring that'd mean he'd have made around $15 milllion from his career which is great going for someone who never had a fanbase plus he seems to have already got a few businesses in place for his post fighting career.
