I can't recall how many times people have listed Golovkin's amateur achievements and seen someone dismiss all of it. The line "if you have to talk about a pros wins in the amateurs you know they are overrated" seemed to get tossed around a lot. Now that Rigo, a guy with an outstanding amateur pedigree, has silenced his haters, I think we will see Golovkin do the same. Golovkin is the real deal and just like Rigo, he needs only a chance to prove himself. There is a REASON people didn't want to fight Rigo, and there are very similar reasons Golovkin has trouble landing big fights. Power and very high skill level. I'm looking forward to a similar reaction as we've just seen with Rigo when GGG finally lands that big fight (not that Martinez will EVER fight him).
Inevitably. But he's likely not going to get the opportunity to do it in grand style against the P4P fighter in his division. He'll get there by wiping out whichever MW contenders people consider to be 'legit' that he can get in the ring.

Yes, It's just a matter of time. And balls from his opponents. Rigondeaux and Golovkin offer different risks. You definitely put your life on the line if you fight Golovkin. Rigo is not as dangerous as Golovkin but prepare to be schooled by one of the most skilled and patient fighters in the game. Martinez and Ward are both Top 5 P4P ranked fighters, if Golovkin gets one of them soon, he can gain similar recognition as Rigo does today. I'm glad we have such talented and decorated amateurs as Rigondeaux and Golovkin competing in the pros. They are the real deal and make the pro's shook.
What's sad to me is that SERGIO is the DONAIRE for Golovkin to prove himself with. Unfortunately, Rigo was able to get Donaire to fight and I have serious doubts that Golovkin will ever get Sergio in the ring. It would be truly glorious if Rigo beat the #2 p4p fighter in Donaire, and Golovkin beat the #3 p4p fighter in Martinez back to back. In road to Donaire-Rigondeaux there's a scene where someone is fishing and says "look, we caught Donaire" and Rigo calmly says "we've already caught him". I don't think Golovkin will be able to "catch" Sergio though :-(
I like 3G and think he beats the majority( although not all) at 160. A genuine question though, I've been under the impression that people like DiBella have all been saying there's no money in fighting 3G. I have my own thoughts on why,but he's building a fan base,and if he's as keen to get his name out there I'm sure he wouldn't be greedy. So why is there no money to be made fighting him?
I don't follow the promotional/managerial side of boxing as it bores me, so I don't know. I recall Donaire saying there was no money to be made fighting Rigo. There are always going to be more lucrative fights than guys like Rigo/Golovkin, always. The only way these guys get their chance is if the "p4p fighter" genuinely thinks they can win. Donaire thought he had Rigo, I don't think Sergio feels he can handle Golovkin.
I think Dibella still sees Golovkin as a Eurochamp who had 2 fights on HBO and just arrived on the scene. The Macklin fight will tell us a lot and if Gennady straight walks through Macklin there will be nowhere to run for Dibella. HBO hypemachine will push for the Martinez, Chavez fights. Also Golovkin is nowhere near for a PPV fight and is relatively unknown among casuals. But so was Rigondeaux for Donaire. It all depends on the fans and how bad they want to see this fight. We have to give it a little time but it's inevitable down the road, Golovkin is coming for ya'll.
