With Billy Joe Saunders set to vacate the British title soon how about a British title tournement involving some of the young fighters in the divison. You can seed the undefeated fighters in Ryder, Eubank Jnr, Selkirk & Etches. Put the fights as openers on Sky card. John Ryder v Nick Blackwell (English Middleweight) Chris Eubank Jnr v Ryan Aston (Southern Area Middleweight) Joe Selkirk v Eamon O'Kane (10x3 Middleweight) Adam Etches v Prince Aaron (Central Area Middleweight) In the next round both fights will be 12 round final eliminators, then a final for he vacant title. If theres any problems there plenty of fighters that could come in. After at least 2 live fights on Sky the finaliats will be pretty big names. John Ryder v Chris Eubank Jnr would be a dream final.
I saw an interview with him sayin he wanted to win it outright and I'm pretty sure the fight with Ryder has gone to purse bids with match room pickin it up
After the super 6 this sort of idea has gone from borderline joke to actually doable, and marketable. I wld love to see it. It also aint a PF type lineup where it can be deemed a bit of a farce/joke. These are all fights that wld bring these lads on a touch
i like ryan nice lad good boxer b interesting to see if they make the valentine rematch for mids title was a proper shock him stopping tank in 2 rounds (towel thrown in). good line up tho for the thread problem wud b cross promtions hatton matchroom hennersey fw
If BJS vacates it will be a duck of Ryder, he seems to have some bollocks I don't think he'll vacate.
its on youtube mate valentine was on top rocking ryans head back was down twice i think. it became a brawl and the towel came in from the corner http://youtu.be/fyfhqh5Pp3w
Nice idea but BJS seems intent on fighting Ryder. With any other FW fighter you'd expect them to roll over and do as told (ie: vacate and fight Paul Smith for the 168lb Lonsdale ) but certain rumours lead you to believe BJS would get his own way. :hey Regardless of BJS involvement it'd be a good set of matchups even without his involvement. So long as no one calls it a "tourney" i'm onboard. :good
