    I knew what you mean't

I'm a supporter of Martinez, Pavlik, Cotto and Alvarez so was supporting them against all those brits you listed. I did want Ree's to beat Broner no matter how improbable that was though.

Like i said some Brits i support, some i just don't like.

Frank just had no interest in building a fanbase for him. I dont blame him in a way. Boxing is not followed that much here. Hardly anyone i know follows it like i do. Its not untill the mainstream media starts writing about our fighters (a la calzaghe) people take notice. It doesnt help that south wales hasnt got a decent 10000 seater venue. Its either the motorpoint (5000) and then stadiums. Ask any welsh average joe sports fan and none of them would have a clue who selby , buckland freddie evans are.

I like the ''anyone who can box and move....'' bit.

Even though both of Carl's defeats have come in fights where he's been made to fight excessively on the inside and hasn't been able to establish his distance as much as he usually likes.

Froch has only really come second once in a boxing contest, for 7 rounds against Taylor, and he won by stoppage.... Dirrell ran all night like a ******. Johnson, Pascal and Abraham were all outboxed with relative ease to boot.

People really have got Froch wrong.... for all his warrior talk he isn't half **** at fighting, and good at boxing on the outside.

But he's never won a title by beating a champion. All his belts were vacated or free..

:deal Quality post that. W*rren has been great at getting fighters through domestic and Euro levels - it's when they get the WBO strap around them that things become frustrating

Like you said nobody can have a go at Clev for his run up to the Bellew fight where he'd fought on the road wherever W*rren put him. However, 18 months on from the Bellew fight and with just Karpency and Hawk over that period it is starting to follow old routines, only not as well as in the past with other fighters.

In terms of his resume pre world title, it was a quality one on comparison to many other fighters especially those with Frank.

As Boxing fans were allot more informed than we used to be because of the internet. We have boxrec, youtube and we can talk on this forum.

We have been hearing about Hopkins since the day he became world champion. 18 months later that fight is no closer to happening.

Why are you talking about Hopkins happening in the summer when Goldenboy have already announced the fight with Murat and you have a unification with Braehmer?

If everything was agreed for a unification with Shumenov last year but you couldn't get a Showtime date in 2012....why didn't you get one in 2013?

If you really plan to do Cleverly vs Hopkins in a football stadium next year....maybe you could try and build a fanbase in Wales first?

Check the date on this article for instance. You can just swap 2012 for 2013. Cleverly will be stepping in against Krasniqi nearly a year to the day he should've fought him at the Albert Hall. Since then we've had just Hawk.

Boxrec rankings factor in activity, stoppages/scorecard and level of opponent you have been facing. Cleverly has not been doing well in any of those departments the past 18 months.

My point was the way he is being managed and promoted.
