Well worth a read. He's a little one sided about some of his fights, but most fighters are. Some interesting stuff. http://www.cyberboxingzone.com/blog/?p=15989
Some people didn't like my posting loads of links & bitched about it. At time Gor was moving he asked me to take over the posts but I didn't want to do modern section but agreed. I did this while he moved & was recuperating from ill health also while trawling the web for all the sections. Anyway I was fed up & tired when it kicked off so was cranky & with all the comments on the thread Gor got pissed & just pulled it. Tbh, I think he was looking for a way out before it happened, I spoke to him on skype before I took over & when it had kicked off, I don't think his heart was in it anymore - it was a ball-ache. Did you go under the same name handle?
That's a shame, it was one of the originals and there was a time it was one of the better boxing forums around. I lost interest in checking it out ages ago for various reasons, but it's sad it's no longer around at all.
Really good stuff, seems a nice guy. Shame about CBZ, quality wee forum, loads of historical stuff in the archives there.
Curtis has changed some over the years, and in a good way. At one time he came across as arrogant and unwilling to give fighters such as Napoles their due when they bested him, but he is a gentleman now and appreciative of those he met in his day. I enjoyed this interview and would have loved to see him meet Jose when he was in his prime and also Benitez whom I think he might have beaten.
