Looks like Hagler does not want to be part of it.

Whoa, wheres your proof. I know Hagler is somewhat sensitive ,but I don't think he would do that.

I wouldn't really blame him, to be honest. It's going to be questions they've all heard a thousand times and most of the attention will likely go to Leonard as the other 3 sit there and be seen as merely guys who fought Leonard instead of the greats they were.

At the same time, though, maybe Hagler had prior plans that he's honoring.

I know this past year for Hearns's hall of fame induction, it was Hagler, Leonard, and Hearns who were there and Duran was absent (despite being invited) for some reason. Hagler didn't seem bitter when he was on the grounds and sat near Leonard. I'm sure he's still bitter, but he's not the miserable, pissed off man a lot of people seem to think he is.

All Hagler wanted was recognition and it was so obvious when he said it may be his last fight after Mugabi he asked if they would miss him i mean c'mon the guy was finally getting his recognition (kind of) and then Leonard the golden child comes in and takes Haglers belt and takes away the one thing that Hagler had worked so hard for and gets even more recognition i'd be annoyed too.

That is true. And Ray is the one behind the promotion of this. Will be interesting to see if he can get Hagler to ever do this tour. I knew Leonard and Hearns and Duran would because they seem to go around and like the attention of the fans.

Hagler has moved on, I don't blame him for not wanting any part of this living in the past event.

Marvin is over in Italy. Probably not worth his while to come over for 1 night, plus I doubt he would want to share a stage with Ray in a forum like that

Hagler such a warrior inside the ring. Sort of acted like a little ***** outside of it.

Well, Duran and Hearns didn't save their money; so they almost gotta show up. Leonard gets another victory lap. No reason for Hagler to show if he doesn't enjoy that sort of thing.

After Hagler said that he's contemplating retirement, he asked Al-Bernstein "Would you miss me if I leave?"

    What was Al-Bernstein's response?

I KNOW!!!! I'm searching for what Hagler said but I can't find it anywhere. It looked like Bernstein was about to say absolutely. Hagler looked like he was serious about the question.

I found the proof. It's pretty sad actually. This is an excerpt from Berstein's book:

"We now flash forward to 1986 and the fight between Hagler and John Mugabi. Hagler had scored an exciting TKO win in the 11th round, and I was up in the ring interviewing him about the win. We were nearing the end of the interview and the producer said something in my ear that went a little longer than it should have, and I did not hear all of one of Marvin’s statements. The part I heard was: “Would you all mind if I left?” I thought he meant he wanted to end the interview, so I said, “No problem Marvin, you worked hard enough tonight, congratulations.” Then I turned back to the camera to do a final analysis of the evening, as planned, leaving a slightly befuddled Marvin Hagler in my wake. As the great Paul Harvey used to say, here is the rest of the story."

I feel bad for Hagler. He probably cared about Bernstein's opinion.
