Maybe. What would you have said if you were the commentator?

Nailed it. Arguably the biggest winner in boxing history taking everything into consideration.

I dont think Hagler deserves to be with the other three. he was the only one out of the four that never got knocked out

Wow, a lot of stupid baseless assumptions being voiced on this thread.
    Incredible.

Maybe Marvin Hagler has better things to do with his life that evening. He's done many 'nights with the champion' dinner type events, perhaps he's grown tired of the 'nostalgia circuit' or has a LIFE outside of reminiscing about things that happened 30 years ago.
He appears at enough of these events over the years. It's wrong though to assume that it's all he should live for.

People here on ESB Classic (and other 'boxing geeks' and ill-informed boxing pundits) have a very warped perspective on what retired boxers should or shouldn't be doing.

He just wanted to be the greatest mw.

Though he did fight as a lhw earlier in his career, last fight as lhw was at 26-2-1

They were staged as lhw because one or two of the fighters were 1 or 2 lbs above the mw limit.

So I was sort of incorrect there, 162 lbs doesn't make a lhw.

such a trajedy! going thru an entire career w/o getting stopped or floored doesnt carry as much weight as a collection of alphabet soup titles
