I like Trout but hes not facing an old shot to pieces Miguel Cotto this weekend hes facing a special fighter the kind that make good fighters like Trout look like Bums and thats what will happen this weekend, easy work for Canelo.
What Canelo fight can speak of that would prove your argument? Canelo has never fought a true challenge until now.
He is talking about when Canelo failed to retire that HoFer in Mosley. Or maybe when he and Matthew Hatton had the great war. Or maybe he means Ryan Rhodes. Could mean the great Alfonso Gomez Or who could forget the Jr. MW killer named Josito Lopez
Although he hasn't faced anyone on Cotto's caliber. His level of opposition has been way greater than that of Trouts. So no we haven't seen the best of Canelo but what we have seen has been quite impressive for a 22 year old. Like you said, we haven't seen the best of him but Canelo at his very best could be way too much for Trout :hey
He has all the tools to keep him at bay, namely his stamina and great jab, which can neutralize a great offense. Thing with Canelo is you're making it sound like he is some pressure fighter... Canelo fights in short spurts, he isn't someone constantly chopping away at you... He has VERY questionable stamina. Canelo will be the one needing the breathers, and Trout will be the one not letting him have them. Lopez, the JWW was able to pin Canelo on the ropes and hammer away at him, that should say something.
I'm definitely rooting for Trout this weekend. This is a fight that will tell us a lot of what both guys can really do.
Right on, I think it will be a tremendous fight :good Although if Trout does whoop Canelo, he will get very little credit IMO. People will just say "who did Canelo beat? He just beat up washed up and bloated fighters, he was overrated anyway!" Trout UD12 IMO, although he has a chance for a TKO if Canelo's stamina ****s him over, and Trout can land a ton of unanswered punches.
Yeah I hear what you're saying. But although his stamina is questionable, he's made it and fought for 12 rounds solid and can do it again. Trout does have a great jab and if he works it well, Canelo will have problems. But Cotto did land some left hooks and had some bright moments against him. Surely Alvarez will also get to him. Also Lopez is a great boxer but still was unable to take advantage of pinning Canelo on the ropes, Canelo seemed unfazed and came back stronger and we know Trout doesn't punch tremendously hard, so I'm sure he can do it again. I think Trout puts his body into awkward positions at times as seen in the Cotto fight and I'm sure he was rocked towards the end of his fight with Alvarez's brother, I think Canelo will take advantage of this. It will be close, but I think the judges will favour Canelo's style and give him the decision.
I disagree that he fights 12 rounds solid, he is not an active fighter. Canelo constantly stops for breathers; he will throw a few flurries, do nothing, and then throw a combo again. All his opponents have fought at his pace, he has NEVER faced anyone with the tremendous movement and work rate of Trout. I don't think Trout will sit and allow Canelo to fight at his pace, he will be jabbing and pecking at him constantly. Trout is an arm puncher, but he does have respectable power when he sits down on his shots, he made Cotto turn and walk off from a body shot. Although Cotto is surely on the decline, he has always been a great boxer, so I don't think him having a few moments against Trout is anything derogatory for Trout. In the end, Trout dominated the large majority of that fight, it was a clear, and concise victory. Canelo did come back stronger against Lopez, but the very fact a JWW was pinning him on the ropes really says something... Canelo's stamina is very mediocre. What is he going to do against someone who won't let him take all his breathers? He may very well go into panic mode. Oh and IMO Cotto is a far better win than anything Canelo has managed, I don't like how he has been dragging people up.. P.S: #MONEYTEAM! Floyd is gonna murder Guerrero, Floyd is the truth! :good:good
Come on everyone wants to hop on the bandwagon AFTER a guy wins, lets see who is truly supporting 8) We'll know who the bandwagoners are after Saturday!
Going for Trout on this even though I think he will get robbed. Too much movement smarts stamina for Canelo to deal with. Trout's ability in the ring is being underrated he's a quality operator in the ring.
