Prior to the application of his current nickname “Pacman,” Manny Pacquiao was known as “The Destroyer.”

After he lost to buster douglas at least in the Razor Ruddock fights they announced him as "Mighty Mike Tyson" probably trying to reinvent himself...didn't stick. Also before Kid Dynamite he wanted to call himself "The Tan Terror" kind of like "The brown bomber"

This is true. He sort of interchanged. After Leonard he was more the Motor City Cobra, then after Duran he became the Hit Man again.

Wasn't it something to do with politicians in Detroit thinking a name like the Hitman would reflect badly on the city so it changed to Motor City Cobra before he got sick of it and changed back?

The Hitman was a great nickname though, it just fits Hearns so well.
