Froch over Rigo, with all due respect no way. Pacquiao who lost 2 of his last 3 fights better rated than Rigo:rofl
I agree with everything you said, especially your reasoning, about Ward being #1 and not PBF. Only thing is I disagree with Rigo being that high. If it was based on skill set, sure. I put more on what you have actually done recently. Donaire is a great win but it is only one win as you said.
the old one was **** too. top 10 p4p is really subjective but how can you have Guerrero and Broner in there. the ring is just a marketing tool.
JMM IMO beat Pac in their 3rd fight and back then I think he was #3 on my list. He then koed the #2 P4P fighter in Pac in the fourth fight. JMM has been dominant for years outside of facing the #1 P4P fighter in PBF. Mares beat a guy in Moreno a top 10 P4P boxer who had the styles advantages against him and beat him easily he also beat Agbeko twice who was also highly regarded. Pac has arguably lost 3 fights in a row and a good case could be made for him not even being in the top 10 P4P anymore. Doniare was rated 5th on my list prior to Saturday night so he fell to 9th. The only reason why he stays is because he lost to a guy who before the fight was the most underrated guy in boxing. As for Wlad he fights in a very weak division. I have Bradley in front on him based on the fact that he's undefeated a top 10 P4P boxer with some good wins and I scored their fight a draw. I also thought Pac lost to JMM in the third fight.
1. Floyd Mayweather- I feel like this one doesn't need justification 2. Juan Manuel Marquez- Coming off a win over the p4p #1 fighter in the spot. The lightweight champion. Only losses since 2006 have been to p4p ranked opposition in Mayweather and Pac 3. Sergio Martinez- One real loss in his career. Beat Williams, Cintron, Pavlik, and chavez jr. Not too mention good undefeated fighters Barker and Dzinzirik. Undisputed Middleweight Champion. 4. Andre Ward- Undefeated. Beaten Froch, Dawson, Abraham, Bika, Green and Kessler. Best Super Middleweight in the world hands down. Wouldn't argue with the people placing him higher but Martinez and Marquez haven't done anything to deserve being placed lower. 5. Wlad Klitchko- Heavyweight king. Hasn't lost in a long time, cleaned out everyone in the disvitsion. 6. Manny Pacquiao- two losses in a row leave him demoted from p4p#1. Bradley fight was a win and everyone knows it. Lost to p4p Marquez by KO in last fight. 7. Abner Mares- Beat top quality guys at bantamweight. Ahead of Rigo based on more top names on resume 8. Carl Froch- Faced all the top names at super middle. Only losses to Kessler in a close fight and Ward who is the best in the division 9. Rigondeaux- Based solely on his outclassing of p4p Donaire 10. Mattyssee- Could just as easily be undefeated as have 2 losses. Great power and some good names on his resume.
Yes we do know Pac beat Bradley but we also know JMM beat Pacquiao in their 3rd fight, so Pac lost 2 of his last 3 fights so i dont see case of him being better rated than Rigo at the moment.
The potential marketability of Mayweather's successor and the promotion of Cinco de Mayo respectively.
It's funny that Ring magazine got the report of the fight pretty right and espn (Dan Rafael's) reports gave Rigo little or no credit (words such as 'snoozefest,' 'stinker' and 'close decision' were used): Yet Ring don't have him ranked p4p but ESPN has him at #6. Sky sports still have Donaire at #4 or #5 still (basically unmoved) and Rigo out of the top 10. A lot of people on here have better lists than the so called experts.
:roflatsch Boring or not is not relevant for rankings, all relevant is a win and against what level opponent, Rigo beat number 1 fighter in division, was it boring for you isnt relevant at all :tired
