Maybe he should call himself Chad 'Ward' Dawson in the hopes that some rubs off.

Or we could call him "Glad" Chad Dawson.

I heard his kids call him "Dad" Chad Dawson.

And his trainer calls him "Pad" Chad Dawson.

This is really important because I'm sure lots of people (like myself) were thinking before the fight, "Why is Dawson giving Ward such a big advantage by draining himself?". So you told him the weight would be a problem and he insisted on fighting Ward at 168 regardless?

I really find it hard, given your background d_w to comprehend why you have such a simplistic view of this.
If one of those pot heads had access to the same sort of audience that Dawson does, and slandered your reputation,do you think everyone who didn't know you would say;"Ignore that guy.He smokes too much pot! dealt_with is an excellent trainer and that will have no bearing on how I view him(you) in the future"?
You've always been OK in debates with me but you do tend to be a bit abusive elsewhere when you strongly disagree with someone.
As I've said,it would be great if Chad would come on and give his opinion but the fact that Scully is one of the few people who come on and gives fans a unique insight doesn't mean that defending his reputation here is slandering Chad Dawson.
Could there be a reason that Chad isn't saying anymore on the matter.
    Is it slander if it's 100% accurate.(John Scully's allegations)
Wouldn't you think John Scully would be happy for Chad to try and contradict him publicly on an equal footing/environment?
Sorry mate, but in this thread and the other one you're very much in the minority.
But fair play, you stick to your guns.

  9. I gotta say.. Iceman... You are nothing but class. I really appreciate you for your rare candor and willingness to come into this very hostile anonymous internet environment to speak your mind and tell your side.

Props to you man. :good :deal

Don't get me wrong, I know better than to take this post or yours (or any others) seriously, but Chad Dawson has never fought his ass off in his life.

Chad not talking makes it look like he is the more mature and professional person tbh, it gives more credence to what he said in the first place. Nobody needs to see and hear an argument about what happened behind the scenes, that's their business. Scully didn't need to defend his reputation, one egotistical line from Dawson isn't doing a damn thing to his professional reputation. I think you're the one with the simplistic view on this. What I suspect happened is that Scully has/had a lot of bitterness/regrets and has had to hold his tongue around Chad and his other coaches, first opportunity to say something and all the vitriol comes out. It's unprofessional and far more damaging to his reputation than a line from someone with as little credibility as Chad. Words don't count for much in professional life, especially opinions. Actions and results count. Scully is obviously a good trainer, he helped Dawson with his biggest win and if you hear him talk about boxing on message boards you know that he knows his ****. Leaving a coach is hardly an unusual occurrence after a loss (****, Chad leaves coaches after a win), not many people would've even seen that video where Chad talks about Scully. Scully talking about Chad just brings a whole lot of attention and credibility to that comment.
I understand you want to make Scully feel welcome here but I'm sure you understand there's a bit of truth in what I'm saying. I've said my piece anyway.

Thank u for that. And, also, just to be clear, I have everything documented, the weight, what was said, etc etc...I keep track of all that stuff! Chad, his strength coach and even the President of our country himself can come here and debate but it will never result positively for them because I can them exact words spoken, exact weights and dates...and, YES, I made it clear that the weight was coming off way too slowly and in terrible fashion (I didn't tell Chad, he didnt need to hear that) but my view was rebuffed and dismissed...I feel very happy knowing that I said what I said and that I am accurate...I was the trainer of record and when we fought Hopkins both times plus the fights I trained Chad for earlier in his career I had control and it was beautiful but for this fight? It was a MADHOUSE, U HAVE NO IDEA!!
