    Next time you create a thread like this, you need to have quotes and a source. This has neither and we're left going by what you say. For all we know you're just making this up.


    Floyd must have butchered his words and really means he'd be down to fight the good 140 pounders that move to 147

    When did Floyd say this? I didn't hear that. A 36 year old fighter shouldn't be dropping to fight at a weight he hasn't fought at in almost a decade.

    He realized making 140 would be no challenge after weighing 149 a.month before the fight. 140 is a strong division for Gbp, a win over a 140 guy like Mathysse at 140, is a lot more significant then dragging him up to 147. May is no dummy, it will boost his legacy. Definitely means no Canelo though...

    He could just kick their asses at 147. Nearly all the important guys at 140 are bigger than Floyd even though Floyd has been at 147 for over 7 years

    Wow. He's in duck mode if this is true. But in reality he is a true 140lb fighter. As a Floyd fan I just wish he would take the greater challenge in canelo.

    I think its a great move since the 140 pound fighters are more dangerous IMO.

    Its not like he has to die to make 140 for his body size

    Interesting thought tho..... Would cleaning out 140(lets say garcia, khan, alexander and lucas) be more impressive than beating trout or canelo? Quality vs quantity.

    It would be awesome if he finished his career at 140. I legitimately believe he can make the weight without hurting himself. In case anyone didn't know, 140 is the most stacked division in boxing today.

    Rios/Alvarado/Lucas/Danny/Lamont/Khan/etc.

    Floyd has at least 2 quality fights that I'd be interested in watching from that bunch. Otherwise, Floyd's only option is to fight winner of Saul/Fish in September. Then there's nothing left for him. . .

    he cuts 20-25 pounds so he can be bigger then every1 he fights.

    cotto is small at 154.
    and u think mayweather should go to 154 to fight giants??

    Floyd knows he is getting older and that a fight with Canelo probably won't go well. I guess I can't blame him. There are great, winnable fights at 140 that the fans will watch. I saw a Canelo duck coming, I just expected him to ***** out. If he fights the killers at 140 I won't consider it a ***** out, just a smarter move. He better make 140 though!

    im sure he wont do that. he will stay at 147 for rest of career. all those 140's will move up eventually especially guys like rios, khan, and peterson also alvarado .... the lucas and danny will move up shortly after
