Watched his fights with Rodriguez and Cotto last night, Trout does not take advantage of that south paw style he has.
the man is easy to find with lead left hooks and lead right hands, Rodriguez was able to nail him with some nice right hand leads he also went to the body well there and at one point hurt Trout to the body.

Cotto had plenty of success landing lead left hooks and right hands but was too faded to do much he is washed up.
Canelo has more speed than both higher work rate, Mark my words, bookmark this thread. Canelo is going to beat the day lights out of Trout, Sad that this fight is made so early, I like Trout but it has to happen.
Canelo by late stoppage 10th round TKO Book it

So is Canelo. The Gomez fight wasn't that long ago and Canelo hasn't shown much improvements since then.

Why the change of heart. You originally picked Trout to win?

This is my only worry Trout is easy to hit if you get close, but Alvarez's foot movement is so slow, Cotto came charging in at times i doubt Alvarez will do that, Trout will get hit but his chin seems decent, Canelo wont do enough to win but he will win some rounds

Basing it off of speed work rate and defense, Sure people are going to point to lesser or smaller fighters to validate Trout, I like Trout honestly I do likable guy.

But against both Delvin and Cotto he was hit with shots he should have been able to avoid Delvin in allot of spots even Cotto was able to beat Trout to the punch with lead rights and hooks.

I just think that the speed difference between Canelo and those guys is going to be key here, also Devlin found a home for a right uppercut to Trouts mid section that hurt him.

Canelo is a solid body banger.... I do not see a Trout win any longer, Canelo doesnt have to work very hard to hit him as Trout is easy to hit...

and the Body attack IMO is going to set up a late stoppage great fight first half Canelos body work allows him to take over the 2nd half and it gets stopped around the 10th

Canelo is susceptible to guys who use good movement. He also takes too many breaks has suspect stamins and can be outworked. I think if Gomez can give Canelo fits by boxing and moving Trout will give him nightmares. Trout is bigger longer and better skills than Canelo. If he can take Canelo's power Canelo is done Trout will box him from the outside outwork him and skate to a win.

I don't think he's "easy to hit." I do question his punch resistance, as I've stated many times that I didn't think he took Cotto's shots that well, and I'd be surprised if Alvarez didn't hit him more often and harder than Cotto did.

But Trout doesnt move that much, look at his fights with Cotto and Rodriguez he will stand there with you.

And as far as the Gomez fight that took place back in 1875, all I remember was Gomez being battered left and right by the Ginger

Canelo gasses because he tries too hard for the ko and he takes too many breathers, but trout will make him work harder then he ever has.If you watch when canelo throws a left hook or left uppercut they are wide and trout will expose that with the jab plus the right hook.

    Gomez was doing good

  15. Trout didn't hurt a faded Cotto and he's sure as hell not going to hurt a prime Alvarez. Canelo is going to catch him in the late rounds and all those body shots will pay off. Keep in mind trouts body will be closer to the left hook Canelo loves to throw...
