Guererro is a tough mutha-mutha. His smothering style is predicated on mauling his opponent with his shoulder and chest and during any clinching his rabbit punches with the off hand to the body and head.

Boxing afficionados, how will Floyd counter these tactics? What is the blueprint to neutralize a mauler/brawler like Guererro?

Use your elbow, like Mayweather does.

Yeah every one brings up Ricky Hatton but when I saw Guererro fight Berto, I was very impressed with how he punked the **** outta of Berto. Pushed him around the ring and was givin Berto the goods...I have NEVER seen a guy eyese swell up like Bertos...he got fkked up by Guererro.

With the size advantage, can you apply the same strategy as was in the Ricky Hatton bout?

He needs to learn from Ortiz. The moment he gets Floyd to the rope, push his head against Floyd face and chin to counter Floyd elbow.

Guererro and Hatton are the same size, weight wise anyway.

Hatton,Castillo,Gatti,Cotto,Baldmoir,Ndou were all tough, come forward, swarming fighters.

    Floyd is still undefeated....

He'll do him like he did Hatton. Guerrero, being less dynamic and too slow, will get chopped up.

So the height difference won't matter?

How would a couple of inches helps a swarming mauler?

Reach only matters when you're a classy fighter with a great jab and, great at keeping your range.

Guererro will try to get as close as possible to Floyd and rough him up. The couple of inches in height will make zero difference.

If anything Hattons height allowed him to duck and weave and get ion the inside quicker.

That is what Guerrero will most likely do. He can't outbox Floyd, so he will have to make it as rough and as uncomfortable as possible.

Floyd just said in a interview, that Robert Guerrero has an awkward style, but if he's get dirty, he's gonna do him dirty.
