Lopez would be made for brooks accuracy,Vargas is beatable after that thurman,Ortiz, berto and you are in deep
He just needs a stay busy fight before Alexander after that. I doubt he'll face a formidable opponent, he just needs something to keep the rust away.
I would go with Selcuk Aydin/Carson Jones II on an undercard of the Groves or Burns fights in September, unless Purdy does really really well agaisnt Alexander. Then in November fight a Berto, Lopez, Vargas, Maidana, Porter, Senchenko
Obviously the man is suffering a little bit mentally over his physical state, what ever that is down to is irrelevant! Reading into the statement "do I deserve a world title shot? I dont know" tells me everything about where Brook is, he clearly feels that September is not in his best interests for a bout with Alexander therefore he'll take a tune up or 2, who knows. But looking at him and listening to him he's obviously not ready for that big title shot at this minute in time. All of the above in mind, once he gets a good solid camp in and boxes again I'm sure we'll get the usual calling out of a world champion or Amir Khan, and Brook will be claiming he's British boxing's saviour again.
Just being realistic really. Alexander v Brook is never going to happen as a voluntary defence. This is a blessing in disguise I feel for Brook September vs Carson Jones/Selkuk Aydin/Leonard Bundu November vs Berto/Maidana/Lopez/Senchenko Then fight for a world title in 2014.
Someone like Ortiz would steam roll Brook that fight is a no no. He should go for Senchenko, easy money there. A rematch with Jones would be good for us.
