Nobody, really, right now. I think the American public would really like it if somebody else came along, though, I was usually fun to watch, save a couple huge exceptions.

I'm pretty excited for Deontay Wilder, he's really proven me wrong in the last two years or so(I've heard how hard that kid is working from people I respect, and I understand that he needs to be brought up slow), and I really think Jennings is about to join Chambers as some serious American class. Byarm, Liakhovich, Tupou, Steve Collins...He's on a very impressive streak of late, and he's looking even better with each fringe contender he destroys.

Fair enough, from what I've read it seems you really enjoyed your career :good

All I've seen of Wilder is small clips on youtube, but he's sparred some of the best. Do you think he'll take out Audley Harrison next week? Audley was impressive on Prizefighter, could be a tricky night for Wilder

I think Wilder poleaxes Harrison, and early. Too young, too powerful, and frankly, too confident. Wilder is young and believes he's destined for greatness, Harrison can't decide day to day if he belongs in the ring.

On paper Wilder should win easy, but surely his competition needs to step up now, how much can he be learning from these kind of fights?

Well i don't see how anyone could objectively look at that fight and not agree that it was the worst Povetkin we've ever seen inside a ring. Whether it was just horrid conditioning, the rabbit punches or a combination of both he was literally on the verge of falling over from exhaustion after the 4th round. He managed to gut it out and deal with some adversity but i don't expect we'll see that from him again especially now that Kostya is training him, he's a fitness freak.

Ibragimov vs Chagaev is one of the great fights that were never made in an era littered with such missed opportunities. Both men were extremely well matched and would have put on a very high level show, I think.

    Look up their amateur fight.

It's seriously impressive. One of four performances where the competitors are wearing the headgear that has made me say, Damn.

Those two were class, and its a shame a professional match never went down.

Lets stop pretending there used to be 10-15 heavyweights in any given era who could have been champion.

True. No heavyweight era has ever been so weak as to make that the case.

So would we all, but how common has that been?

You certainly didn't see any exchanges like that in Louis's day.
