Nice subtle points that I didn't notice. I think mayweather has said that he has been training and that's why he didn't do a media tour

Floyd still has time left at the top. Mosley was able to compete at the top level until 38 or so. Marquez is still running strong at 39. Both have been in some wars especially Mosley.

With his new contract, yes. In fact, if Mayweather turns into Roy Jones he's still gonna keep fighting because he can collect on 200m overall from show time.

U ****ing kidding me...maybe floyd lost a half a step but if u watch the last round of the cotto fight his legs are still very much under him as he was able to move side to side and slip some of miguels best punches i am in the few handful of ppl that think that floyd really did just want to go toe to toe with cotto...honestly if he wouldve boxed him like he did in the last round it wouldnt have been much of a contest

Shot is when you're basically finished -- you're a shadow of yourself in the ring. The current Roy Jones is a decent example.

Mayweather isn't shot, although he is past his prime, which is natural at his age.

If you're well under Floyd's age, u can't really understand what some of us older folks are talking about but when you get to your mid 30's, you'll know first hand. Your legs simply slow down. You don't have the same bounce/explosion in them like you used too. They aren't as quick and tire much faster. I remember some of the things i used to be able to do on a basketball court at my younger age and compare to now and the difference is night and day. I used to be able to blow by guys with my quickness. Not no more. I have to think my way around guys now. That's what Floyd is doing too. Adjustiing his game with the tools he has left.

I think Floyd can surpass Hopkins longevity or go close to it. People are over exaggerating.

People act like Hopkins isn't gifted, but Hopkin's ridiculous longevity IS his gift. I don't see Floyd boxing beyond 40.

He got roughed up against Cotto at only 35. His style is all wrong for longevity. Stationary, high guard and inviting younger opponents to bang away. Hopkins controls fights with distance. He's always out of arms way. Floyd doesn't have the ability to control distance like Hopkins. No one does.

Floyd would disagree. Did u watch the 1 hour Showtime show? He said Cotto was a tough sob and made him earn the W. For Floyd's standards, that was roughed up.
