Here is Lomachenko vs Valentino from last night, Valentino was a world champ and one of the most highly ranked guys around the weight class. Pay close attention to the post round slo-mo replays, you can't really appreciate how precise Vasyl is when you're watching in real time. Absolute beast with far more pro potential than Rigo imo.

What exactly is wrong with you? Ever since people started praising Rigondeaux, you have been running around like a jealous girlfriend with this Lomachenko ****. Are you in love with this man? What's wrong with you?

Masterful. Classic example of pressure fighter overwhelming counter-puncher.

Because before Rigo clowned Donaire everybody was saying "Amateur achievements mean absolutely nothing". Now people might be more receptive to the idea that boxing skills are boxing skills, whether pro or amateur. Here is what is essentially a pro contest, of another double olympic gold medallist. This is a boxing forum isn't it? I'm hyping up a fighter up that deserves hype, don't you get a bit tired of everybody always hating on fighters? I'm a massive Rigo fan and he's my favourite fighter in the pro game, I'm just trying to put things in perspective. Loma was an even more dominant amateur with more of a pro style than Rigo, I'm just saying "You think Rigo is good, wait until this guy turns pro". I'm not putting Rigo down but I knew he'd dominate Donaire if his chin held up, Rigo just did what he's done for 15 years.
All I've seen you post is homosexual projecting. That's fine but keep it to yourself, if you feel like talking about boxing at some point feel free to jump in and contribute :good

Is Lomachenko a pressure counter-puncher? :think
I think that's a perfect way to describe his style tbh.

I think that's when he's at his best, I'd be hesitant at describing it as his style though. As I'm sure your aware he is fully adept at taking the lead when he's coming forward as he did last night a lot of time, and could box and counter punch very well on the back foot too.

He's certainly complete in his ability to box on the front and back foot. Last night was superb, the kind of performance I've been waiting for from him in the WSB, up until last night I'd actually have said Usyk was outperforming him very slightly in the WSB. That was a new level last night compared to his previous WSB performances.

I agree, and yes Usyk is absolutely brilliant. I'd be hyping the **** out of him too but then I'd be accused of just being a Ukraine fanboy. Lomachenko was really switched on and focused for the Valentino fight, I haven't seen that spark from him for a while now. It's almost like he's been going through the motions in recent times. I think that maybe the Selimov fight was a wake up call, he realised that he can't just cruise through top opposition.

Sorry, I'm not posting about one man in every unrelated thread I can find. That's what's gay.

No fanboy in saying Usyk is fantastic, it's the truth, he's pretty special too. i knew he was good going into the WSB but he's surprised me by just how good he's been, whereas Lomachenko i expect of him. Can't wait for both to turn pro, I thought Usyk might have been a little small in the current heavyweight division, beginning to re-evaluate that possibility now.

Yeah Lomachenko looked focused as hell last night, great to see and hope he keeps it up. I thought he boxed pretty well against Selimov considered how good Selimov is and had Lomachenko winning 49-46, but last night was clearly a level above that, even with Valentino being a lesser threat IMO, though still a very good and accomplished fighter of course.

Cool didn't even realize he had a fight so soon after Selimov.

Will check it out when I can.

I thought the same about Usyk, I had some questions about his chin because in his fights against Beterbiev he looked rocked at times to me. Maybe it's the smaller guys he has problems with, he battered Medzhidov and he is a legit heavy with power. The way he made 6'6 270 pound, pro record 13-0 Modungo submit in the second round like that in his last fight shows that size in itself is not going to be an issue for Usyk in the pro ranks. Usyk isn't really that small anyway, 6'3 and 210 pounds. Just the way he moves and his skills make him look like a slick middleweight. He could really be something special when he turns pro, he is the most skilled heavyweight I think I've ever seen, he's got the looks and the personality to be a big star imo. Just needs to develop his punching power and learn English, and he'll be the complete package.

out of all the fights he had in wsb this was the best he looked, a lot of it had to do for his performance against selimov, so i guess he really wanted to show how good he really is.... tbf selimov is a great fighter himself and if he was fighting at pro level Loma would never face a fighter of selimovs caliber in his 4th or 5th pro fight!!!! last night he looked tremendous, his footwork was a thing of beauty, amazing head movement, body punching!!! i agree with who ever said Usyk has been outperforming him but last night Loma finally showed the real him... cant wait for both Usyk and Lomachenko to turn pro and see how good they really are, i believe Lom could win a world title as quickly as Rigo did and Usyk well he will have to wait until the Klitchkos move out the way to dominate the heavy scene!!!! i read somewhere that Usyk has signed to K2 brand but im not sure how true that is!!!

I'm calling it now, Usyk can beat both the Klits. Look at Solis against Vitali before the injury, his head movement and all his punches were finding the target. Usyk is brilliant at slipping and getting in range, from mid and close range Usyk is miles ahead of the Klits. He might have problems with Wlad, his athleticism might be enough to stop Usyk from getting close enough to work.

im not a big fan of Klits as i find them boring myself but im not too sure about beating both of them, i believe he can defeat Vitalij as he has slowed down a lot but his younger brother has the athleticism that the older brother doesnt have.... but i dont think that fight will happen i reckon the Klits will hand the reign over to Usyk :bbb
