I dont get what you mean ? most top welterweights will enter the ring 155+ people like victor ortiz takes it to 168.

Personally i think there should be 2 weight in's one the same as now and one on fight night 2 hours before the fight if theres more than a 7lbs weight difference that fighter has to give 50% of his purse to his opponent.

That would stop any massive weight cutting because nobody would want to loose that much money.

what winfella is trying to say rob is that cutting weight has just as much negative things about it as positive

if you had cut weight before for a weigh in you would know this, cutting weight works for some people and some people could cut the same and suffer far more problems, it effects your cardio, strenght and other things like making your face swell up a lot more................cutting weight is bad Rob not an automatic advantage to guys who cut and rehydrate 20 plus pounds

The Dolce diet and the likes are not scientific, they are researched methods of infusing nutrition into a fighters life to aid the loss of weight. Its as simple as that.

Even putting a bag or 3 of saline solution into somebody's are is not science! As Chavez Jr does!

This would actually be worse, you would have guys making weight and knowingly entering the ring massively under nourished and de-hydrated, this is where guys get brain damage!

Same day weigh-ins eliminates everything, fighters get on the scales more or less the size they will fight in the ring minus 7-8 pounds of water.

Because nobody cares, and he has not got a big enough following to fight outside of the UK or maybe even his home city.

There are bigger non title fights for Kell Brook out there.

What i suggested was basically same day weight ins but without the 7-8lbs of water weight. You weight in at your weight the day before, you go home eat and drink whatever. The next day there is a second weight in just before you get in the ring (so your fully hydrate and fed at this point) if your 7lbs over (everybody weight changes during the day) you give a load of your money to your opponent.

It would stop anyone cutting loads of weight because nobody would be stupid enough to do it or want to loose all that money.
