He's still one of the best boxers in the world, if not the best, but it's clear as day he's slowed down a lot. Is he shot? That remains to be seen. If he's at or near the form he showed against Cotto, then I wouldn't consider him to be a shot fighter by any means, but it'd just further reinforce him being past his best. Athletically, he's a shell of what he used to be. Especially on his feet.
he never looked the same against ortiz and cotto IMO. he looked slower but good enough to whip ghost. Alpthough the pad work we've seen he looks quite alot worse still which is worrying. Then you hav the odds getting slashed, so its still hard to say for sure. but there are some worrying signs,
:think I was wondering about this as well he's not bigger in that picture. He's smaller, but his muscles are more visible because he has less fat on him
ugh...here come the built in excuses...why? he's still going to completely embarrass and outclass Gurrero easily...
Floyd fought a smart fight against Ortiz. He was patience, because Ortiz had power and was the bigger man. Floyds the best he doesn't fight anyone the same, he makes those adjustments. and Floyds not shot.
I will say this. I've never heard of another Floyd camp where his uncle or Sr. have had to make excuses for floyd walking around with bruises on his face.
not mocking you bballchump as youre one of the few quality posters here but you should never put the word fat in the same sentence as floyd mayweather. i think guys like floyd and zab are never over 10 percent body fat. theyre gifted in that sense and anyone that works out knows what im talking about. and to refute your "less fat" observation one looks more "ripped" with striations when carrying less fat. floyd doesnt look more ripped there he looks just as muscular as he always has. i dont buy into floyds jail weight loss for a second and there is an entire thread dedicated to this where at the end i dont think one person believed floyd
nor were there ever rumors that he had to send a sparring partner home because he got worked. ray leoanard, who also relied heavily on reflexes and athleticism, was done at 35.
whiplash effect causes some stupid exaggerations when it comes to Floyd. Notice how his haters and even some of his biggest fans are the ones rambling on like he's close to being shot. These guys put the mofo on a pedestal
How did he basically have 3 losses in a row when his previous fight was a win via 5th round stoppage?
