Seems to me that much of the criticism being aimed at Fury tonight-and not without justification-can equally be levelled at Wladimir.

    -fights smaller men
-usually has significant size, weight, reach advantages
-leans on opponents to wear them down

I'm not comparing the two directly, or saying that Fury is on the same level, but a little consistency wouldn't go amiss.

  2. at least hughie fury is the real deal

He looked impressive. I know it was against a can but the way he moved, he looked very natural.

It was a great fight! Cunningham dropped Fury like a ton of bricks with an overhand right in round 2. He was also outboxing Fury, who was deducted a point for headbutting at one point. But Fury showed resolve and determination, worked his way back into the fight, and wore Steve down before flattening him with a sequence of short uppercuts when Steve was pinned on the ropes.

Good win for Fury, and a very entertaining fight.

Yep - plus the knockdown came in the second after Fury has spent most of the first round showboating and taunting Cunningham give him lots of verbal.:patsch

Agree , thing is fury has a good jab when he uses it properly and can box better than he showed tonight . I think tonight he just went in there wanting to ko Cunningham and look good to the American audience . The way he holds his left and how he lazily brings back from the jab means he will always be open to a right hand from his opponent . But up to now he always recovers well and gets up to win . Tonight his size advantage let him believe he could fight the way he did and simply win by that alone.

Don't know if they'll fight again.

Think they're lining Chisora up for Price.

Fury better come in great shape for Pulev. He looked much better at about 246 pounds. I want to see Jennings-Fury though. Jennings is the same height as Cunningham but stronger and more suited at heavyweight

Forget about Wlad, Haye would annihilate him.

I look forward to Fury exposing Pulev next. Fury has heart and stamina. He is his worst enemy at times. I know he is only 24 and still learning but he was being wreckless early in that fight and got dropped because of it. He needs to remember the even if Steve is small he is still a PRO boxer. He should have came out from round one using his jab and using his skills. That knock down I think will wake him up. He needs to learn to jab like his cousin. Fury does not use his size like he should. Say What you want about Tyson but he may just be crazy enough to beat Wlad. Tyson seems to be punching harder these days also.
