knowing he needs the ko, trout goes in hard and gets hit with hard counters by alvarez, who stays away. trout prevented from effective pressure by alvarez counters. 7-5 Alvarez.

open scoring is some bull****. That would have been a close fight. of course, if the judges could judge....

But alvarez is or real and trout had to respect his power through the fight. Mayweather or martinez should be next for Alvarez.

114-113 for Canelo. The knockdown decided it on my card. It is extremely close though.

Strangest IB RBR ever. Look at trouts face at the end of the fight, he knew he lost the fight.
    Yet some of these scorecards:huh

Trout also looked unconfident after the final bell whilst Canelo raised his hands.

It's interesting that Canelo did the more effective punches most of the time while Trout did a lot of work that earned him a lot of rouunds, but whenever Canelo opened up he simply made the difference. Big shots vs. volume, Saul was simply better. Good boxing and shot selection from the outside, too bad for the last rund. 115-112

The side of the head shot seems to be the culprit of the right hand that hurt Trout, the other rights that landed flush on the chin didn't have any power.

    Open scoring killed it

Scores will be too wide but this was incredibly close, credit to both fighters
