Trout connected on 154 of 769 punches Canelo connected on 124 of 431 punches This is what keeps buggin' me. This is why I thought Trout won. Canelo had the power advantage but every round I saw it seemed like Trout still out landed him. With or without power, a clean punch is still a clean punch.
he was pumping like 500 jabs all night, of course he out landed him in jabs. but where it really counts, power shots, clean shots.. it was all canelo!
Guess what, it's about the quality of punches. Almost all of those of Trout barely or not really landed. Close fight but cause Canelo took time off between shots. Trouts volume had absolutely no effect.
