Rounds 2,3,7,11,and 12 for Canelo Rounds 5,6,8,9,and 10 for Trout Rounds 1 and 4 I scored even. 115-114 for Canelo, the knockdown was the difference maker on my scorecard. I will say that I thought Canelo was a little bit better than Trout as a whole. Trout on my card pulled ahead in the fight by taking rounds 8,9,and 10, but imo mainly because Canelo was inactive, posing, and playing too much defense without exherting enough offense. Trout did'nt do much in these rounds either, but at least he kept his hands moving. Tough fight for both though. Neither fighter is easy to hit, so that contributed to both gassing some down the stretch.
trout didn't land enough hard shots to make a difference. I agree that the knockdown was the largest deciding factor, but even without it, Canelo won.
