The thing is that 4/5 years into his pro career we still know next to nothing about Wilder. None of his opponents have ever pushed him far enough to force him to show what skills he does or does not have, to test his punch resistant or mental fortitude or stamina. It's been stiff after stiff and bum after bum and the fact that he's only just now, after almost 30 fights as a pro, taking his first major step up against a shot failure-of-a-heavyweight in Harrison is a joke. As a result of this lack of meaningful opposition he's just one big question mark. He might be fast and have one-punch KO power and good athleticism (whatever the hell that means) but any half decent heavyweight would have walked through the opposition he's faced with just as much ease as he has, so we just cant say definitively how good or bad he is.

Saying Wilder would destroy Fury is possibly the most idiotic thing I've read on this forum, and there's ridiculous **** said here on a daily basis.

Well done OP, you just went full ******.

good post from MAJR, i think wilder will probably ko audley just like price did and then there will be even more hype, he needs to keep stepping up now, that is how you learn, if he keeps fighting bums his skills wont improve rather he will become sloppy.

i hope audley really tests wilder and takes him to deep waters, but i doubt it, but itll be interesting to see how wilder responds, if you watch wilders fights, he does seem to tire very quickly, it takes a lot out of a man throwing those powerful shots all the time, time will tell if wilder is the real deal.

I think Wilder has great talent, just needs development but fighting nobodies isnt the way forward, same with the other prospects.

Nah nothing like that at all actually. Fury's beaten about 400% more American HWs than Thompson has Brits. He's a US HW Wrecking Machine.

"I'm going to finish this here and now," he said. "If this man gives me a good fight, I swear on Jesus' name I'm going to retire after the fight. Because I ain't going to be nothing like I say I'm going to be if I can't do a job on this man. I'll retire if I don't stop him.

"If I don't impress with a good performance against this man, I will retire. I'm not going to fight. Game over. I will retire on live TV. "

USS was schooling him? Fury won the 3 last rounds of the fight, only ruined by the ****ing ******ed referee. Fury got the stoppage fair & square, deal with it. Wilder is the only US hope in the Heavyweights.

In fishing terms, Fury has caught many minnows and Tony Thompson caught the Big Kahuna. The Price victory was more meaningful than Fury's wins over all the American opponents combined.

Let's see how Fury would do against Jennings, Arreola, Malik Scott, and Wilder before you sound your little British bugle.

You can tell Fury has the 'mericans vexed. They won't be happy until he loses to an American HW, then they can take to the streets chanting 'USA, USA, USA, USA!!!'
