    That's obvious from your post. Why would you even feel the need to point it out? :huh

    nothing meaninful landed

    his spammed jabs dictated distance more than anything else... it prevented Alvarez from closing in comfortably and dropping in alot of shots for burst combos

    Alvarez's stamina issues was very apparent though... if he didnt have that issue, the fight would have been decisive

    Evidently there's a significant number of dolts that pollute these forums who aren't aware of which posts are meant to be taken literally.

    You're obviously one of them.

    I'm disappointed that you didn't appreciate my sarcasm detection and subsequent riposte.

    Trout didn't seem to land anything meaningful, he certainly never hurt Canelo. Reminded me a bit of Calzaghe the way Trout landed meaningless pitty pat punches. Canelo rocked Trout 4-5 times and deserved the win.

    Fights cannot be effectively scored from 2 exchanges mate, it doesn't work like that. Because Canelo scored a knock down (very good shot btw) and buzzed Trout slightly in a fight were over 1000 punches were thrown does not mean he won the fight.

    The more telling shots were landed by Canelo but that doesnt mean Trout had no success, he jabbed Canelo from round 1-12 and ok yes Canelo was slipping some of them but most of them got through and were effective because it stopped Canelo from getting anything off and worked him defensively.

    Here are the stats they are pretty damning:

    Alvarez vs Trout Stats
    According to CompuBox Stats:

    Overall Punches: Trout out-landed Canelo 154 to 124 and was more active, throwing 769 shots to Canelo's 431;

    Canelo was far more accurate than Trout, landing 29% to only 20% for Trout.
    Powershots (Non-Jabs): The two men were virtually equal in powershots (non-jabs) with Canelo landing 96 and Trout 95. And again, Canelo was more efficient, landing an impressive 43% of his power punches to Trout's 27%.

    Jabs: Trout doubled Canelo in jabs thrown and landed; Austin unleashed 416 jabs to Canelo's 207, out-landing his Mexican foe 59-28. Both fighters landed at 14%
