What agenda is that then? You clearly know something I don't.

Pretty sure I'm the only one who's demonstrated a grasp on the history.

Interesting - pretty sure I'm the only one here who has actually provided historical facts. You guys haven't demonstrated any understanding of Irish history or any insight into the overall narrative of Irish history from the 19th century. I've referenced the Home Rulers; the Young Irelanders; the Land Wars / Tenant Reform; the Irish Part and they're dominance right up to John Redmond; the conscription crisis of 1918 and the general election of 1918 and the start of the War in 1919 and its escalation with the Restoration of Order in Ireland Act / bringing in the black & tans (a major British blunder).

You've demonstrated what exactly? Other than subjective blathering?

A few of us are trying to stick with it. If you want to discuss Irish history why not go and start a thread in the lounge about it for ****s sake. Im sure you would get a massive discussion going.

Back to Fury and his world title hopes. I may have been a little harsh earlier,I forgot how he fought against Kev Johnson. In that fight he showed he could think a little bit and used more boxing so he can alter his style. Still think a complete change of team and scene is needed for him to realize his potential. I cant see that any trainer would have told him to fight the way he did at the start against a man of Steve Cunningham`s quality so he is either not listening or the corner he has should not be there. He needs discipline!

I havent discussed history... no need until now... but if u think daniel oconnell [the father of ireland] ...charles stewart parnell [the uncrowned king of ireland] and redmond were simply home rulers your mistaken..home rule was always going to be the first step towards full independence...u are mistaking constitutional nationalism as some form of unionism which it wasnt and isnt til this day.... mititarily most nationalist knew or thought they couldnt achieve independence that way... so other methods to push the british out of ireland were used from the nationalist party to the land league:good

Pity Manny Steward is not alive. He would give direction which Tyson needs.

    Christ Almighty you're ignorant

Parnell or O'Connell campaigned for devolved government still within in the Union - they weren't republicans (in the case of O'Connell it was a return to Grattan Constitution of 1782).

Agree, sadly Manny has passed but his legacy lives on. Daft as it sounds maybe Steve Cunningham could be the man to turn to. He has been helping out with Wlad`s training from what I can gather. Fury needs to make some sacrifices in my opinion. He has potential for sure and as I said earlier getting knocked down means nothing if you get back up and win. He is in good company with his trips to the floor.

Except the actual act of terrorizing anyone of course.

'British blunder ever since the English came here' implies exactly that, your so called 'British blunders'' did not start in 1916 but where ongoing since they arrived, everything you list afterwards is a 'British blunder' in Ireland. It doesn't mean it was one oppressive slog.

Enjoy your unionist west Brit history.

You originally claimed that it was a mainstream historical view that the Easter rising was an act of terrorism, when it clearly isn't. Not even the British government would refer to it as an act of terrorism. You claim it was not a rebellion, yet the British media referred to it as the Sinn Fein Rebellion, even at the time they recognized it for what it was.

You also claim that Sinn Feins mandate in 1918 had nothing to do with the easter rising but of 'British blunders' (of which I thought you where referring to the execution of the 1916 leaders but apparently you where referring to the conscription crysis) which is just absolute bollox.

Public began to sway after the rebels where executed, not in fecking 1918.

I think he tried too hard to make a good first impression to the yanks and got too carried away, wtf was he doing them first few rounds with his hands down low and all the shouting and ****.
He went into the ring with completly the wrong game plan, and even after he got dropped to a certain extent, why he didn't just keep USS on the end of his long jab is beyond me, it might be because he thinks it's boring but you gotta do what you gotta do ~ use your physical advantages to just that, an advantage.
